Of course School of Dancing Wheels perfomance ensemble did amazing, under the direction of Sara 🫶🏼

I was able to help with silent auction materials, sorting decorations, loading in/out, and helping with the school. It was fun to hang out with one of the students during the dinner break who does not use verbal communication. I did make sure she ate most of her food 😂

But I will say, the slight incline on a carpet floor in the lobby, yeah definitely hard to navigate for wheelchair users. 🦽

All around a great day to share with others who care so much about this work. 💜

I wish I could’ve seen the company perform, but from what I saw in rehearsals, they looked amazing. Several high energy pieces 👏🏼

Performing on a Playhouse Square stage? Checkkkkk. Best Capstone ever 🙌🏻 but we did have to ride the set lift… the only accessible way onstage! Quite educational. All staff was so helpful too!

it doesn’t help someone has said I may not come across “serious enough”

but anyways, yesterday I wanted to pour into my natural hair a bit extra for the “Ladies of The 80s” Gala.🪩 I’ve already thought about being okay with my natural hair vs styling or throwing it into a claw clip (feeling like it doesn’t look “nice enough”).

My OT school bestie has gorgeous wavy/curly hair and I’m like what the heck have I been doing to my hair?! Have I fallen into feeling like I have to look a certain way in adulthood to be taken seriously?!

When I was walking to the theatre, a man on the street said he loves my hair, so I guess that means it looks nice. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Curly hair friends, I will take tips!!! 🫶🏼
