Happy 10th Adoptaversary, Sirius!

For her 1 year anniversary, we celebrated the milestone with with a Major League themed photoshoot. To celebrate a decade together, we recreated the Cleveland baseball picture.

While her collar is the same, and so is the jersey and Wild Thing glasses, so much else has changed over this transformative decade.

Before I was a cat lady, I was a dog mom. There is something profound about the dog who bridges the unknown of your 20s into the reality of your 30s.

She’s 11 now, and the gray around her face is a quiet reminder that our time is narrowing. I hope she knows how grateful I am that she’s in my life.

Thank you for growing up with me, Sirius.
