UPDATE - 3:50 pm - a vehicle accident has caused a broken pole. This may be an extended outage due to the need to set a new pole.

We are aware of a power outage affecting 300+ households on the west side of Hickman County. GEMC has dispatched a crew. Unknown cause and unknown time of restoration.

Garbage service will run as scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Please remember to place your garbage cans at the curb tonight. Please do not stack garbage on top of the garbage can lid or place items beside the can, as they will not be picked up. Only items placed inside the garbage can will be collected.
