Today would have been The King Jack Kirby's 108th birthday! His contribution to comics cannot be adequately quantified short of saying I don't think comics would still be around today had Jack not turned it into a true art form with his work.

I did an homage in his honor for the centennial for San Diego Comic-Con Art Book and was honored that it was picked up and given a full page. Every character there came to life under Jack's pencils!

Visionary launches its second epic series - Monarch of Manhattan - a modern day pulp fantasy buddy hero story!

Monarch of Manhattan is a "Stranger in a Strange Land" story that explores our world through the eyes of a time-lost Prince of Wu-Ungala, the mightiest empire from the Age of Magic! Now cast adrift in modern day Manhattan, Shakalla first simply seeks revenge against the evil wizard, Daemon Thornne who marooned him in this strange new world. But as he learns more of modern day evils, he promises to change the world for the better! Joined by his sidekick, a rather harried Harold Harrington, accountant, the two struggle to come to terms with each other, even as they realize each will forever change the life of the other.
