Stop trying to multitask your way out of exhaustion. 🛑
For the longest time, I thought the cure for feeling completely overwhelmed was just to move faster. I would have ten tabs open on my laptop, be answering a message on my phone, tracking a digital project, and thinking about the next task all at the exact same time. I wore multitasking like a badge of honor.
But here is the brutal truth: You cannot multitask your way out of burnout. You are just spinning your wheels faster while your engine is overheating.
Constant switching between a million different apps, projects, and demands doesn't make you more productive. It just fries your nervous system. Every single time your focus jumps, your brain burns through precious energy, leaving you running on absolute zero before the afternoon even hits.
As part of my 30-day boundary and decompression experiment, I am forcing myself to break this habit.
Today, I am doing exactly **one thing at a time**.
If I am working on a project, the notifications are muted. If I am spending time with family, the laptop is completely closed. Even if it means I have to move a little slower today, I am protecting my peace and my focus.
Slowing down isn't a failure—it is necessary healthcare. True efficiency isn't doing fifty things at once with a racing heart; it’s doing one thing at a time with a calm mind.
**My challenge to you today:** Pick just *one* thing on your to-do list. Close every other tab. Put your phone on silent. Give that one thing your full attention for just 20 minutes, and notice how much calmer your chest feels when you're finished.
Are you willing to slow down with me today? Drop a **"One thing at a time"** in the comments below. Let’s support each other through these 30 days! 👇❤️
