CSD ON IMPACT FEES: With all of the social media conversation about the Clover School District impact fees that are currently up for review with the York County Council, Roaring Eagle reporters sat down with CSD Administrators and the Board of Trustees to learn more about the process, the fees, and what a decision like this might mean for the community. We are sharing a video now, and a story will be forthcoming. The second reading by the York County Council regarding the Impact Fees will be on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at 6 South Congress St., York.

An Attendance Zone update has just been released by Clover School District.

The Clover School District (CSD) Board of Trustees will vote to adopt a Student Reassignment Plan at their meeting on Monday, Sept. 22. The meeting will be held in the Boardroom of the District Office, located at 604 Bethel Street in Clover. You may view the livestream of the meeting on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD47i8X0dQw&list=PLRMXlz-oRVFxTeAHufMsBxrRK2mt_q3WG

In response to feedback received at three community forums and an online form, CSD Administration is recommending the following changes to the Draft Plan proposed on August 25:

Riddle Mill, Oakridge Road, Clarendon Estates Area: Reversed to original line West of N. Hwy 321, Barrett Rd, Galloway Ln: Return to Kinard Elementary School, Clover Middle School and Clover High School

Ole Cambridge, Farris, Calder, Cedar Hurst, The Arbors Neighborhoods: Assign this community to Roosevelt Middle School

S. Paraham, Little Branch, Campbell’s Crossing, Vanderlakes: Assign this community to Bethel Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School and Clover High School

New maps for the Elementary, Middle and High School levels are pictured. Maps have also been posted to CSD’s Student Reassignment website at https://www.clover.k12.sc.us/o/district/page/student-reassignment-2025

Families still have two opportunities for input leading up to Monday night’s vote. They may send an email to [email protected], or they may speak during public comment at Monday night’s Board of Trustees meeting.

The adopted plan will be posted to the district website, www.clover.k12.sc.us, as soon as it is available.

Issue 22 is here. In this Issue, we cover the groundbreaking of the Western York Agricultural Arena and give an overview of the process for determining attendance lines for the new schools that will open next fall. We also added a column sharing the story of a community legacy, whether it be a person, place, or landmark in the area, to help us all learn and remember how our community has grown. Happy reading!
