These images are from Hurricane HELENE and the flooding in Canton & Clyde as the water crested and starts receding. So many lost SO much during this disaster and we send our love and prayers to ALL who have been affected in any way.

Exciting times! Here is a visual representation of what our new administrative office in Downtown Canton will look like upon completion. "Although more building-ready sites requiring less development may have been available in other places, our intention from the very beginning was to reaffirm our roots and commitment to where this organization got its start,” says Jake Robinson, President and CEO. “This building will allow for us to consolidate operations from three different facilities, provide a first-class experience for our employees, and send a clear message that our community is resilient and brighter futures await."

It’s a genuine honor to be able to support such a great department like North Canton Fire Department and be able to, in some small way, give back to our local community.

The link below shines a spotlight on our Fire Dept and on myself but it doesn’t paint the full picture of how I got to this point in my life…..

Through the years I’ve been blessed to have had some amazing role models in my life. Many of them taught me many of the traits and skills I have today and no way I could even try to name them all.

One of my all-time most amazing mentors is WR Hardin of Canton. He is a great human being as well as the smartest person I’ve ever known. I hope his wife Betty Hardin reads this and shows him this article because he is a very BIG part of who I am today.
He took me under his wing (pun intended) and was very much a Father Figure to me when I needed exactly that. He helped to teach me how to fly R/C airplanes safely and how to be a kind and caring person. I owe so much to WR Hardin. WR and Betty became a part of our extended family many years ago and I love them dearly.

My dear mother, Ruth Heatherly Morris, who supported my aviation beginnings and whom I could never repay. Miss you mom ❤️

My sweet wife and best friend, Julie Rathbone Newland. She put up with me being a kid and playing with “toys” for over 33 years now and still going. She’s been my moral support, my ground crew, and even helped to build and cover some of the R/C planes over the years. I couldn’t have been “this guy” without her by my side.

I do what I love because so many have done so much for me over the years!!
