This man created wild dreams of giant Tarpon on the fly when I was a kid. The Walkers Cay Chronicles was probably about the only fly show we watched next to all the bass fishing shows. Rest in peace, Flip. You definitely left an indelible mark on generations of anglers around the globe. Gone but never forgotten.

Flip Pallot, an icon in the world of fishing, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy as vast and enduring as the waters he loved.

Decided to join this trail at the end of the season. I was going to wait until next season, but I can't resist an excuse to fish the upper Potomac! Pulling out at O dark 30 tomorrow morning. After a day in Philly, a guy trying to back up to purposely run into me, and the seemingly increased number of idiots on the road today, I need some river time!

2 giant evens in 2 days. The Kayak Adventure Series and the Native No Limits Big Bass Power Hour.
The river is fishing tough! What will it take to win this year? The 20s are tough to find in the boundary waters. What will win the $1000 per hour big bass bounty? 18s, 19s, or will someone figure out how to get on the 20s?
Good luck everyone!

Congratulations to Shaw Grigsby for his top 20 finish in the Tackle Warehouse Invitational on the St. Lawrence River. This was his final event as he eases into retirement after more than 4 decades as a professional bass angler. Shaw, enjoy your retirement. We love you! From the Grove family, thanks for the memories!

Tough bite around my old haunts this year. Fortunately the Nikko Fishing Baits 4.25 Hellgrammite in Natural always comes through. Solid 19" Smally fell for it rigged on an 1/8 ounce 4/0 Zman Pro Bulletz jig head.

Celebrating our independence on the Susquehanna River. Much like the west branch, the area of the main that we fished yesterday had pockets of fish. The big girls aren't completely back from maternity leave yet. Although I did manage 2 good fish. 5 best were only 85.5". Still need a better game for the MAKBF and PA Bass Nation tournaments on the 12th and 13th.

I'm not going to kid anyone, it was a grind yesterday. I launched my kayak at Muncy and covered a lot of water up to King Island. Pockets of fish were extremely scattered. I experienced large stretches of shoreline and even some great eddys that were seemingly fishless. Then I would find a pocket of fish that would wreck my chatterbait for the next 20 minutes and then I was off to find more fish. That stiff wind coming upriver didn't help. Still was a great way to spend the day on one of the most peaceful stretches of river. Saw a doe drinking out of the river. Saw multiple Bald Eagles and was watched by one of the Falcons nesting under the Muncy bridge. Best fish was 18.75
