Happy Connections!
It's Connection Sunday.
Today isn't about going to a service. It's about going to serve.
There is a literal truth that it is better to give than to receive. But that truth is never learned by simply reading about it. Reading gives us information. Walking the path gives us experience.
Experience is our only true teacher.
And inspiration to walk it—not just talk it—is our greatest motivator.
So what really motivates us?
Are we honest enough with ourselves to accept the answer?
"Greed is good."
Not because greed should rule us, but because our desires reveal something true about us. When we refuse to accept what we're actually seeking, we often end up disappointed because we're acting against our own truth.
The real question isn't what do I want?
The real question is, am I pursuing it in a way that can actually produce it?
If "God made man in His likeness," then having desires isn't the problem. What leads us astray is believing we can satisfy them through methods that never truly produce what we're looking for.
Many of us spend our lives judging ourselves through the imagined opinions of others. But it isn't our responsibility to control what someone else thinks. Trying to manage another person's perception is living in fantasy. They're responsible for their thoughts, just as we're responsible for ours.
Today, hold your head high.
Not because you're trying to look good.
Not because you're trying to help someone.
But because you're willing to accept your own truth and act from it honestly.
You may discover that by cleaning someone else's side of the street, you've actually cleaned your own.
Inspire Before We Require!
