Please help!-share
NO options and HARD choices today: euthanasia or housing and we are all in tears.
This morning has already been overwhelming 😩. Between the power outage, no water, and trying to care for the dogs already depending on us, a car pulled up with two more lives hanging in the balance.
Meet Bronco (“Bubba”) and Shasta (“Snowflake”).
Their owner escaped an abusive relationship six months ago after her husband broke three of her ribs. Since then, she’s bounced from place to place trying to keep her family and her dogs together. She was recently forced to leave the last place she was staying and has been living in a hotel that’s only paid through Sunday, and finally found housing… but the dogs aren’t allowed.
The hardest part wasn’t hearing her story.
It was watching her 7-year-old daughter, through tears, beg us to please save her dogs and us having ZERO capacity to do it. If there is a corner it has a dog in it.
Without somewhere for Bronco and Shasta to go animal control and euthanasia is their next stop. This is not a dramatic tale this is the reality. They are also full and at capacity.
If you can’t foster, please share this post. Donations towards temporary boarding will help as well but we have to get them vaccinated first.
One share could reach the person who changes everything. They are both sweet dogs. Shasta is good with dogs. Bronco is too just needs a slow intro to other dogs. They lived with a cat that sometimes Bronco would chase we are told.
