Naoma Tate of Cody made that exclamation after “biting my nails for what seemed to be forever,” before learning she’d won the bid for Sitting Bull’s contract with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West. After the online auction closed at 6 p.m. on May 21, she explained, the bidding had remained open for another 30 minutes, hence the nail-biting. The final price was $168,213, which includes a 25% buyer’s premium.

On Friday at approximately 7:52 a.m., a one vehicle rollover was reported on the Belfry Highway north of Cody. Eight deputies responded to the scene to assist emergency medical services.
