For 15 years, I have been bringing you the most interesting old and new sounds that ya won't hear anywhere else. No genre is off-limits but I tend to feature mostly rock. But don't be surprised with my African , arabic, or other choices which will crop up regularly.

Known to most as the lead vocalist and principal lyricist of Dirty Rotten Imbeciles (D.R.I.), Kurt Brecht is known as the front man of one of the very first bands responsible for the crossover thrash genre. Brecht saw a very busy schedule with the band in the late 80’s through the early 90’s. During very rare moments of downtime while on the road, Kurt transitioned his writings to book form. After forming Dirty Rotten Publishing, he produced a total of four works; “Whore Stories”, “The 30-Day Diarrhea Diet Plan”, “See the Loud Feeling”, and “Notes from the Nest.” These books would see first and second print runs with the band selling at live shows and their mail order. In the late 90’s, all four books went out of print and ultimately faded into obscurity. Copies pop up on Ebay and Amazon every once in a while, however it is very seldom and they sell before you can blink, usually for large sums of money.

Fast-forward to 2025: D.R.I.’s fan base continues to stretch across the globe to this day, and Kurt’s books have remained in high demand since their initial release. With some archive retrieval and reconstruction from the original pages and artwork, we here at Blackhouse are proud to present all four books, available for the first time in 25 years. Completely rebuilt by the staff at BHHQ, each book is limited to only 500 made, with a special Dirty Rotten Press logo t-shirt/book package also available.

Whipping Boy made no concessions to expectations. By their second album, the band were already tired of simple hardcore tropes.
