❤️ Every November we try to compile a list of all the amazingly generous people and places offering a free hot, Thanksgiving meal for anyone who need it or want it! Below you'll find the current list. If you know of one not listed, please comment below so we can add it!

American Legion Post #143, 1pm-4pm Sat. 11/22, at 1138 E. Poleline Ave., Post Falls. Open to all in the community, stop in at the banquet hall for turkey with all of the traditional fixins’ including pie! RSVP appreciated, but not necessary. Call 208-773-9054.

Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 5pm Sun. 11/23, at 4056 N Government Way, CdA, in the Jacklin Event Building. Hosted by North Country Chapel. All are welcome! The church will provide turkeys, mashed potatoes, dressing, and gravy.

Parkside Church, 4pm-6pm Mon. 11/24, at 423 N. Lincoln Ave., Sandpoint.

Timers Roadhouse, 10am-6pm Wed. 11/26, at 36179 E. Canyon Rd., Cataldo. A complimentary home-cooked meal featuring holiday favorites will be served. Stop in with family, friends, or yourself. All are welcome! For parties of 4 or more, reservations are recommended; call 208-682-3279.

Burger Dock, 4pm-6pm Wed. 11/26, at 200 N. 4th St. CdA. Community members are welcome to enjoy a free meal: freshly made burger, special sweet potato fries and a pumpkin pie milkshake. Available for dine-in only while supplies last.

Three Mile Cafe, 10am-2pm Thurs. 11/27, at 51031
US-95, Bonners Ferry.

Country Boy Cafe, 11am-4pm Thurs., 11/27, at 6160 E. Hwy 54, Athol. Gather for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, family crafts, and games. No reservations required; however RSVP is appreciated so call 208-683-2363 or text 208-704-5330 if possible. Dine-in, carry out and special delivery. Hosted by Country Boy Cafe and Bestowing the Basics.

Bayview Community Center, noon-5pm Thurs., 11/27, at 20287 E. Perimeter Road. Provided by Ralph’s Coffee House & Cafe. Turkey/ ham, potatoes, yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans and pumpkin pie will be served. All are welcome! Home deliveries too. On Thanksgiving Day, call 208-683-8040. Otherwise for questions call Ralph’s at 208-683-2218. Donations appreciated but not expected. Excess monies will go directly to Bayview Community Center.

Upcoming Event! Innovia Foundation Supports Holocaust Survivor Film Screening and Q&A in CdA

As a teenager in Amsterdam, Carla Peperzak risked everything to aid fellow Jews, forging ID cards and providing shelter from the brutal N**i regime and their collaborators. Today, the 101-year-old holocaust survivor continues to share her heartbreaking experiences to speak out against injustice and deliver a message of hope.

On Sunday, September 21st, The Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene is hosting a community screening of the documentary Carla the Rescuer. The film portrays Carla’s early life during the holocaust. Carla, the namesake of Peperzak Middle School in Spokane, will attend the event in-person to engage in a live Q&A session with the audience after the film.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Coeur d'Alene firefighter Dave Tysdal was all smiles as he was escorted by his family out of Kootenai Health Tuesday morning.

Another way to help the families impacted by the Canfield Mountain incident. We love how much the community comes out to help when it's needed! Thank you all, and keep loving on these families!

"There are a lot of moving parts getting everything ready to go and scheduled out, it's a big undertaking but we have a great team putting things together. We are working on the preliminary schedule for the day of the Benefit and will have that announced Friday. We are also lining out Job needs for the MANY people who have reached out wanting to volunteer. It's incredible to see how many people want to help and be part of this, obviously there are constraints on time and how many people we can put on each stage. We're so grateful for the outpouring from all the artists and bands wanting to perform and show their support. It's been very difficult to figure out how many we can fit in the day. So thank you to everyone for your patience an understanding. even if you're not performing, we will be reading off the names of bands who offered to perform and we'd still love to see everyone out here to support the community and these families.
Also, We wanted to make it very clear where the donations would be going as it's very important to all of us that this benefit runs full transparency and all donations will be going directly into the families accounts through the Red & Blue Foundation "

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with and for Dave Tysdal and his family as he continues to heal and recover. Believing for full movement and mobility!

Engineer Dave Tysdal remains in stable condition in the ICU at Kootenai Health Medical Center. He is recovering from a single gunshot wound to the back that collapsed his left lung, damaged his clavicle, shattered several ribs and caused spinal swelling. Dave is currently unable to move his legs. However, his spinal cord is communicating from the top to the bottom and we are hopeful movement will return when the swelling subsides. Dave has a long road to recovery.

Posted by a sweet mama: My son wants to help our local firefighters in one of the only ways his little heart can and this is having a lemonade stand near 1080-1166 Kathleen Ave in CdA. All funds raised will be going straight to the Fire Dept to help the families affected by the ambush on Canfield. 50¢ a cup, all donations welcome, 4pm-6pm tonight, Tuesday, July 1st
