Not recommended but gotta do what i gotta do, ya know? 🤫 Milk blebs or blisters are one of the reasons why i clog so frequently. Even with extensive nip care i feel like i am just prone to them. A milk blister, or a ni**le bleb, looks like a tiny white spot on the ni**le. It can be caused by a plugged milk duct or a thin layer of skin blocking the milk duct. Sometimes a ni**le bleb occurs after trauma to the ni**le. If it is not painful, no treatment is necessary. Otherways to treat it: warm compress, soaking cotton ball with olive oil, breastfeeding or hand pump when soften, talk to your doc for antibiotics. My husband also tends to be a go to tool for me as well 🤪

I fell asleep while trying to breastfeed laying down today. We ended up cosleeping. We have both been exhausted with the transition to his crib, and my husband didn’t want to wake us because he said we needed this rest so badly. My husband did cover us with a blanket, which he and I both know is not safe because it is a loose blanket. DON’T WORRY, he said he watched us the entire time in the monitor while he worked downstairs. When we coslept my son normally sleeps in a sleep sack and I wear warm clothes, no blanket. Did I just undo my work transitioning him to the crib? Who knows. But the snuggles and snooze were great!

IMO, the lactation kit is way more cost effective bc i have ordered four inserts individually in the past seven months due to my decrease in size and it totaled more than $80. The kit also has the tape measured and nip ruler along with all the fl**ge sizes you need! FYI if you’re pumping, you should remeasure your nip once a month to make sure you’re using the correct fl**ge size. Continuing to use one too small or large can increase chances of clogged ducts, mastitis, and lower output! While I am not a lactation consultant, I do share tips and tricks on how I found the right fitting for myself with all details are explained in the video. I am so grateful for the internet and my knowledge of my first pumping journey to navigate better during this season. If you are uncertain and need more help reach out to your IBCLC who are more than willing to help guide you through the ups and downs of Breastfeeding and pumping.
