📍We love an amazing engagement story from local Cohasset Residents! 👰‍♀️

📸 Photography by

❤️ Logan Pratt and Ryan Champlin first met in college and navigated years of long-
distance before eventually settling back in New England.

👰‍♀️ Logan, who grew up in Cohasset, now runs her own photography business in town, while Ryan, an online magazine editor and familiar face behind the counter at Seabird, moved to Cohasset two years ago.

💍Their proposal unfolded serendipitously at Sandy Beach—🌊 Logan had scheduled a sunset photoshoot with their new puppy, Winnie,
unaware that Ryan had secretly planned to propose that very same evening with
the help of the same photographer.

🌊 Surrounded by the glow of golden hour and
the joy of loved ones, the moment was pure magic. 📸

We love an amazing wedding story close to home!👰‍♀️

📸 Photography by

📍 Emma and Nick’s love story began in the halls of Cohasset High School, where they first met as 16-year-olds. Nick had recently moved from outside Atlanta, Georgia, to Cohasset at the end of eighth grade, while Emma grew up in town and attended Cohasset public schools.

❤️ Their high school romance blossomed over two years, filled with shared memories and countless walks with their dogs at World’s End in Hingham—a place that would become deeply meaningful to their journey. When it came time for college, the couple faced the challenge of long-distance, with Emma studying in North Carolina and Nick pursuing his degree in Maine.

💍 December 7, 2024, Emma and Nick were married at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. “I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place for the two of us to get married. It felt like home and meant the world to us to show our friends and family the place we fell in love,” Emma shared. Their wedding day was filled with special moments, including their ceremony at St. Anthony’s Church in Cohasset, where Emma had received all her sacraments and Nick was confirmed.

💒 The reception at the Red Lion Inn was nothing short of magical, with incredible food, heartfelt speeches, lively dancing, and an outpouring of love that filled the room.

👰‍♀️ Emma and Nick currently reside in Waltham, MA, with their beloved dog, Sadie. Emma is a college tennis coach at Babson College, while Nick works as a mechanical engineer. After their dream wedding, the couple traveled to Madeira, Portugal, for a stunning honeymoon adventure, surrounded by breathtaking views and rich culture.

Another amazing wedding story close to home!👰‍♀️

📸 Photography by .mariah

📍Caity Burke and John Carlson planted their roots in Cohasset in 2021, purchasing a historic home in the Beechwood neighborhood.

🏡 Over the course of a year, John—who grew up in nearby Hingham—lovingly renovated the house himself, preserving its original charm and character. By spring of 2022, the couple officially moved in and made the space their own.

🌊 Caity, originally from Washington, D.C., met John during a college spring break trip to Nashville, TN, over seven years ago. What started as a chance meeting grew into a long-distance relationship and finally, a shared life in Cohasset.

💍 In November 2022, John pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. While Caity was visiting her parents in Florida under the pretense of celebrating her mother’s birthday, John flew down secretly and popped the question on the beach at the JW Marriott in Marco Island. With both families present to celebrate, the moment was even more special—and the ring was too. A family friend and jeweler transformed Caity’s mother’s original engagement ring into a timeless piece uniquely hers.

🏡 Back in Cohasset, John and Caity just purchased another home down the street to renovate and are excited to keep growing their lives together. “There is nothing better than marrying your best friend and building a life with them,” says Caity. “That’s all that really matters.”

👰‍♀️ More wedding issues from the recent STROLL drop! 💍

📸 photography by

🌊 For Danielle, Cohasset has always been home. She moved to the seaside town at the age of ten and grew up sailing at the Yacht Club, lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons at the town pool, and enjoying countless summer days at Sandy Beach. Her New England roots only deepened during her time at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where—during her senior year—she met Matt.

📍 Matt grew up in Salem, New Hampshire, and later graduated from Wentworth with a degree in civil engineering. He and Danielle bonded over their shared love for exploring the city, often spending Sundays discovering new neighborhoods, quirky historical facts, and hidden local gems.

💒 Their journey took them coast to coast, living together in Brighton, Revere, and even two years in California. But Boston called them home, and last year, they returned—settling into East Boston, where their story continues.

💍 Matt proposed on a cloudy March day in the Boston Public Garden, dropping to one knee in front of the George Washington statue. The surprise didn’t end there—he had gathered close friends and family for a celebration at Buttermilk & Bourbon, creating a day Danielle will never forget.

👰‍♀️When it came time to plan their wedding, there was no question where it would be: Boston. Surrounded by their loved ones and panoramic city views, Danielle and Matt tied the knot aboard the Seaport Elite, cruising through Boston Harbor with the skyline as their backdrop. One of their favorite moments of the day was stealing a quiet moment together after the ceremony—sitting atop the boat, taking in the beauty of the harbor, and soaking in the magic of the moment.

Another amazing wedding story close to home!👰‍♀️

📸 Photography by

📍Kali has always called the South Shore home. Raised in Scituate by two Cohasset natives, with her two brothers by her side, she never imagined living anywhere else.

🌊 Her love for the area runs deep—so much so that on any first date, one of her top questions was whether the person could see themselves staying local.

💒 When it came time to plan their wedding, it was only natural for it to be close to home. With her parents married in Cohasset, Kali loved the idea of continuing that tradition. When they toured the Red Lion Inn and saw that June 21st—Evan’s parents’ anniversary—was available, it felt like fate. It was the perfect way to honor both of their families’ love stories.

👰‍♀️ On the big day, when it came time to stand at the altar, it was their siblings who stood by their sides—an intentional choice rooted in lifelong closeness. Kali’s uncle, Stephen Carroll (originally from Cohasset, now of Hanover), officiated a ceremony that was heartfelt, funny, and the perfect 20-minute length.

💍The couple spent the next few days reflecting, relaxing in New Hampshire, and soaking in memories from the day before. Six months later, the newlyweds escaped to the Caribbean for their midwinter honeymoon in St. Vincent.

📍For Elena and Joseph, Cohasset has always been woven into their story. Elena’s grandparents, Pat and Maria Plante, who recently were featured in STROLL celebrating 64 years of marriage, are long-time Cohasset residents, and her Anna mother grew up there as well.

👰‍♀️ The couple’s love story began at a summer cookout in 2020 at Elena’s mom’s house, where Elena realized her long-held assumptions about Joe were completely off base. A simple exchange of numbers led to a summer of falling in love.

💒 On October 25, 2024, Elena and Joe tied the knot at St. Anthony’s Church, marking the third generation of Elena’s family to be married there. After photos at Cohasset Common, they celebrated with 165 friends and family at the Red Lion Inn.

💍Special moments included Elena’s uncles and grandfather walking her down the aisle in honor of her late father and Joe’s cousin performing a soulful rendition of “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head.”

🌊 The couple later honeymooned in Aruba, enjoying a blissful week of beachside relaxation. Now back in Hull, Elena and Joe are settling into married life with their two cats, Spencer and Kit, and their chocolate lab, Arnold, with dreams of growing their family and continuing to build their life together.

Read the new copy of STROLL for more wedding issues!👰‍♀️💒

💍 Molly Lynch and Robert Hynes III’s love story began in South Boston, where they first met at Loco. A comment Robbie made about Molly’s Nantucket basket purse sparked their connection—fitting, as Robbie once spent summers on the island driving visitors to their moorings.

🌊 The couple got engaged at Sandy Beach in Cohasset on a chilly December evening in 2024.

🏄‍♂️ Robbie, an avid surfer, suggested a quick trip to check the waves before dinner. As they walked along the beach admiring the “bioluminescence,”

💍Robbie got down on one knee and proposed.
Their wedding is set for September 20 at St. Anthony’s in Cohasset, followed by an intimate dinner for 50 guests at floral designer Jill Landry’s Marshfield property, surrounded by gardens in bloom. 🌹

👰‍♀️ Now living in Norwell, Molly is a nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Robbie works in medical device sales. Together, they enjoy traveling, fishing, and beach walks—and look forward to building a future filled with family and love.

💍 Last Labor Day Weekend, Marina Lebreux and Garrett Duffy were married in a beautiful, coastal-inspired ceremony at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine. 🌊

👰‍♀️ Marina, who works as an Occupational Therapist in the Cohasset School district, always dreamed of getting married in her home state of Maine. 🌲

📖 Featured in last year’s STROLL celebrating their engagement, the couple’s wedding celebration was accented by nautical touches like sailboat wax seals, whitewashed textures, and a sketch of the resort’s lighthouse on their invitations and guest book. In a highlight that delighted guests, Garrett and his groomsmen arrived at the ceremony by sailboat.

The couple recently returned from a romantic honeymoon in Greece. 🌊🇬🇷
