It’s a Beautiful Day for Hull Porch Fest!! 45 Musical acts will perform from 1-6pm on Saturday September 19! The Kenberma beachside neighborhood in Hull, MA will be transformed into a music festival featuring 45 bands from all over the Boston area, in genres including bluegrass, jazz, blues, punk and hip-hop, plus plenty of rock’n’roll.
Musicians will perform for attendees of all ages on donated porches and driveways that become stages for the one-day, once-a-year event that’s become a much-loved Hull tradition. And let’s not forget delicious Food Trucks Hyt food truck and Tasty Beverages by Vitamin Sea Brewing

On a recent afternoon, Anchor writer Marisa Olsen was on her way to pick up homemade sourdough loaf baked by Julia Hook, the proprietor of Fox Meadow Farm & Bakery. When she reached the end of the driveway, she was immediately transported to another era. Fox Meadow Farm is situated upon acres of natural beauty, wooded forests, and preserved land. The property features a rambling white farmhouse on land dating back to the early 1800s. There’s a seed planting shed, myriad foliage, a lush English garden, and rows and rows of fresh produce. The cottage bakery focuses on sourdough bread and other baked goods made from organic whole grains, freshly milled in her own Cohasset kitchen. To read the full story please go to CohassetAnchor.com

Memorial Ceremony Observes 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Cohasset residents, public officials, public safety professionals, veterans and clergy members joined together on the Cohasset Common on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. The beautiful morning with the crowd gathered under the American flag emphasized Major Phillip Mahoney’s message, the 9/11 mantra, “We will Never Forget”.

The ceremony included songs by Lilly Sestito, The Fireman’s Prayer, The placement of the memorial wreath by the police and fire department, Taps and offerings by Reverend Dan Harper, Bill Ketchum, Maggie Arnold and Father Richard Clancy as well as remarks by David Farrag the chairman of the Cohasset Select Board. Sea Shanty Shin Dig Festivities!!! The Cohasset Historical Society hosted its 3rd annual Sea Shanty on a beautiful and fun filled evening in downtown Cohasset with music by The Armstrong Brothers, delicious food trucks including waflbar and beverages by Untold Brewing

What began as an idea between Cohasset friends Casey Cameron and Betsy Cornell Aceto has grown into Love4Kids, an annual fundraiser that has now raised more than $300,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital.

On Friday, September 11, Love4Kids celebrates its 5th anniversary with a full day of tennis and pickleball, followed by an evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing, a silent auction and more at Cohasset Golf Club. This year’s proceeds will support two critical and underfunded programs at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Tennis and pickleball are currently at capacity, but cocktail party tickets are still available!
