Brattleboro, VT resident Terry Sylvester worked as a float builder, painter and “balloon doctor”🎈for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the ‘70s and early ‘80s. The Macy’s Studio at the time was in Hoboken, NJ, an old Tootsie Roll factory! 🍬

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been going since 1924. This year marks its 99th parade (it took three years off during World War II).
