Young Entrepreneur Night at the June 19th Rock the River Concert Series on June 10, 2025.
The spirit of innovation and creativity will be on full display during this month’s Rock the River concert event on Thursday, June 19th, as the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Young Entrepreneur Night. From 5:30 to 8:30 PM, the community is invited to gather in the heart of Cold Spring to support a new generation of local business minds—kids ages 18 and under—who will be selling handcrafted and homemade products they’ve created themselves.
These young entrepreneurs have spent the past weeks preparing a wide variety of items for the event. Visitors can expect to find everything from soap, bath bombs, and decorative flowers to earrings, bracelets, and origami. Other unique offerings include 3D printed items, yarn crafts, clay jewelry, fishing jigs, and even slime.
To help prepare the youth for their first business experience, the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce coordinated a two-night Young Entrepreneur Class, designed to teach the basics of starting and running a business. The class was led by Candice Eikmeier of Carstar Precision Collision and Bob Sabo of Red Truck Ice Cream, both local business professionals.
“This event is a great way to support local youth, encourage creativity, and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit,” said Chamber Administrator Roseann Baisley. “It’s about giving these kids a platform to share their talents and learn what it’s like to run a business, interact with customers, and take pride in their work.”
In addition to the youth vendor booths, Rock the River will feature live music by the popular band Diamondback, kids activities, delicious food vendors, and beverages by Third Street Brewhouse, making it a fun and family-friendly evening for all.
The event is free to attend, and all community members are encouraged to stop by, meet the young vendors, and shop their creative, one-of-a-kind products.
Young Entrepreneur Night is part of the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to connect the community and promote small business development in creative, meaningful ways.
