Today I will be sharing some exciting updates on my health journey.

The idea of "self-sufficient " is just that, an idea, and a harmful one.

No one can truly be self sufficient. You will have to depend on someone else to give you what you can't produce yourself. Whether that's fuel, grain, tools, land, food, animals, wood, medicine, parts and expertise for repairs, etc.

You cannot live 100% self sufficient unless you return to the old ways of NO modern technology, back to wooden tools, rough blacksmithing, and completely living off the land and doing everything yourself.

Community is vital to our survival. There are smiths, bakers, gardeners, leather workers, millers, for a reason. We all have a skill set that is unique to us as individuals, and beneficial to a community.

The self-sufficient ideal is trying to break up community and it's true purpose. We are to help one another. Not stay all hidden away to ourselves.

Instead of saying we're learning how to be self-sufficient, why don't we call it learning how to be less dependent on the modern form of commercialism, and returning back to our roots of living off the land and being happy with a minimalistic lifestyle.

I'm preparing for a life changing opportunity. Since I am now part of the 300 club, I have reached out to the Bariatric center for help in getting this weight problem under control.

Step 2 is Monday, for a psychological clearance before proceeding further down this road.

I went and had a lot of testing done yesterday. 3.5 hours worth. They were trying to find the cause(s) of my balance problems, which now cause me to need to use a walker 50% of the time.

They could see I had problems. The only things that were for sure is that I do suffer from vestibular "migraines " and I have other balance problems that are NOT related to the crystals in my ear being out of place. They have to analyze the data and send it to my neurologist to get more answers.

The Audiologist did say thst these findings show this isn't going to be an "easy fix". This is a long-term/permanent impairment.

Getting creative with leftovers. I made my own version of KFC's "Ultimate bowl." I used leftover corn, mashed potatoes, and vegetarian sausage. I made a homemade sausage gravy from scratch.

What we did with all those FREE woodchips.
