And they're off! The #12 Garfield-Palouse baseball team is headed to #5 Oroville's home field for the opening round of the State 1B Tournament.

The Vikings will play their first state game since 2008 at 3 p.m. today.

Bulldogs are state bound!

With a 10-0 victory over Liberty, Colfax has secured a spot in the regional round (location tbd).

However, the Bulldogs still have at least two more games in the district tournament. Their first will be at WSU's Bailey-Brayton Field on May 13 at 1:30 p.m. against Northwest Christian. The second game will follow.

Families and travelers can take a journey back in time during the annual Plowing Bee hosted by Palouse Empire Threshing Bee Association this weekend.

History enthusiasts can still watch horse-powered farming through 3 p.m. today, Saturday, April 18.

The farmers will return to the fields from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, April 19.

There are 21 teams competing at the MacDougall Invite in Colfax today. Five teams - Colfax, Garfield-Palouse, LaCrosse, St. John-Endicott and Tekoa-Rosalia - are representing Whitman County.

Field events are starting now with track beginning at 11 a.m.

The Tekoa and Oakesdale student presentation of "Our Town" starts in 10 minutes at the Empire Theatre in Tekoa.
