Mowing Tips:

After watering, mowing is the most important thing you can do for your lawn.

Mowing New Sod: Did you lay new sod? Our saying is to "mow as soon as there is something to mow." In fact, mowing will promote growth! So don't be timid. Mow it!

Mowing Height: There is a healthy range for each type of lawn. Do you know the best height for your lawn? 2.5 inches is healthy range if you're mowing every 2 weeks. 1-2 inches of you're mowing weekly.

W**ding Tips 2:

Mowing: Mow those w**ds down before they go to seed. Most winter w**ds are going to seed & summer w**ds are sprouting so get out there with your mower today! Mowing is an effective way to suppress w**ds because it cuts off flower/seed heads and that stops w**ds from making more w**ds, thus breaking the life cycle. If you have bad w**ds, mow on a weekly routine and don't let the w**ds get ahead of you. I highly recommend using a bagger if you have one!

Creeping Charlie will creep from your flower beds and take over your lawn. I would recommend using a w**d & grass killer in the flower beds that has w**ds in it to prevent it from getting into your lawn.

W**ding Tips
The window for pre-emergent herbicide has closed and we're now in the season of post-emergent herbicide in warm-season lawns: You can apply post-emergent liquid herbicide for w**ds you can see now in established lawns. Read the label and follow instructions. I would recommend applying liquid late evening to prevent herbiced burn.

👍 Rule of Thumb: For the homeowner that has a new build home with new sod. It's okay to apply a post-emergent liquid herbicide labeled for warm-season lawns after you've mowed your new lawn 3 to 4 times.

Pulling by Hand: When you see a few w**ds, just pull them up. Sometimes a hand trowel is helpful to get them up by their roots.
