Major Concerns Just in District #1
“We’re sick and tired of being sick and tired.” These were the words spoken by the legendary Civil Rights Activist, Fannie Lou Hamer!
There is so much going on behind the scenes and in plain sight at South Fulton Government, with City Council members, and the internal tampering by a few State Representatives who are looking to line their own pockets, there seriously needs to be a GBI investigation.
There are those with close ties to the Mayor, romantic affairs with council members and the Mayor, and those upright City Council members and City Attorney that are fighting to keep the Mayor in check. Quite frankly, it is a mess that has major implications and internal corruption that is negatively impacting the district and its citizens.
The bridge on Cascade by the park and tennis courts sorely needs attention. Another bridge on Fairburn is greatly decaying, and the misplacement of the new AT&T boxes dropped in the right of way on New Hope Road prohibit future sidewalks from being put in. If and when they need to be relocated it will be at the expense of the taxpayers. And then there the roundabout on New Hope & Boat Rock Road that is growing weeds and work has been halted over a significant period of time.
If that wasn’t enough, let’s discuss the City of South Fulton’s District #1 City Councilmember, (Cascade) People are pi**ed when elected representatives are not responsive to their inquiries and take no good faith action to address their concerns. But to add insult to injury, it is also a widely rumored our District #1 city council member is having an affair with the Mayor!
It is quite frankly a shame that we need to be “woke” and mindful of the issues that affect us as well as the activity or in-action of those whom purport to represent us for all closed eyes are not shut. We know Atlanta is famous for it’s out of control reality TV shows, but this circus definitely needs a tent.
