The holiday season is upon us and we here at Blue Genes and Boots are so very grateful to each and every one of our listeners! As a thank you, we’ve got a special new episode out now just for you! This time, we were lucky enough to interview Dr. George Church: a Robert Winthrop Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and founding Core Faculty member of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University.
Dr. Church has co-founded ~50 biotech companies, was one of Time’s most influential people in the world in 2017, has made far-reaching contributions to genomic science, chemistry and biomedicine (among others!), and is an overall fascinating person.
Come find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and anywhere else you like to get your podcasts to hear Dr. Church discuss some of his notable contributions to science, his lab’s research and the legacy he hopes to leave through mentoring. Listen below for a sneak peek into the episode, where he tells us his motivation behind pursuing graduate school!
