A great two nighter last week at Texas A&M, home of the TAMU Press, publishers of our new biography.

During our “Questions” bit, two ladies asked “Are you going to sing the Aggie’s War Hymn?” We said we’d never heard of it but would they sing it for us. So both ladies, Texas A&M alumnae, Class of ’69 and ’74, came onstage, exhorted the audience to stand and led a full-throated rendition of the AWH. The place literally rocked. A deafening, delightful moment.

And then two days later the Aggies played Notre Dame and whupped ‘em, or should I say gigged ‘em. Just a coincidence? You decide.

L to R: a bunch of student volunteers, our biographers Bill and Bobbie Malone, America’s Favorite Cowboys, a bunch of student volunteers.
