Why I walked away from TikTok Shop after selling over $2 million last year. ✌🏻

I was in the top 3% of TikTok Shop affiliates, got into the Star Creator Program, and signed brand deals with SHEIN, Walmart, and Gold Bond. But none of that made a difference in the emptiness I felt.

Honestly, it started off amazing.
Every day felt like Christmas with all the free samples showing up in the mail.
I was sharing things I loved—and having a blast doing it.
I’ll never forget waking up to $5K commission days and thinking,
“Wait… this is really happening to me?!”

It was wild.
It was fun.
It felt like I’d finally cracked the code.

But a few months in… I started feeling off.
I had money in the bank, followers who adored me, and more opportunities than ever—but something was missing.

It started with 3 posts a day.
Then 5.
Then 10–15 posts a day.

That’s when I knew something wasn’t right.
My gut never lies—and it was screaming at me: This isn’t it.

I didn’t feel fulfilled.
Because deep down, I knew my purpose is bigger than pushing products.

I don’t want to be known as the girl who slings anything and everything on TikTok.

I’ve been a hairstylist.
I’ve owned a salon—and sold it.
I scaled a boutique from $56K to over $2 million in sales.
I crushed TikTok Shop in 2024 with over $2 million sold.

But it’s never been just about the money for me.

Everything I’ve done over the last 20 years has been about helping women feel good about themselves—
To love themselves.
To accept themselves.

I've been MIA lately, and let me tell you, the journey has been wild! I’ve been rediscovering myself, hustling hard, and trusting that every step is leading me to where I’m meant to be. Closing down my boutique last year was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. I never realized how much of my identity was in "being a boutique owner." It made me feel important and like I meant something but there was a dark side to, so I decided to jump ship before it sank. The economy was bumpy, and I couldn’t keep going deeper into debt. It broke my heart because I absolutely loved what I did.

I had no clue what my next move was going to be. So, I started coaching other business owners, doing social media, building websites, running email campaigns—basically, I was the ultimate multitasking queen. 👑 I even looked for "jobby-jobs" and had an interview for an assistant manager position at a boutique. Can you believe they didn’t hire me? 🤣🤣 But hey, everything happens for a reason, and now I see it was a blessing in disguise. God’s plans are always right on time, even when we don’t get it.

Fast forward to January, and I decided to dive into affiliate marketing because let’s be real, I’m not cut out for the 9-5 grind. My goal was simple: make enough to help with our household and start paying down the boutique debt. Behind the scenes, I’ve been working my magic, getting another business ready to launch. And guess what? It’s all coming together beautifully! I’m feeling so blessed and beyond excited for what’s next.
