Welcome back to Life at 60 with the Boomers! After another great Sunday service, we stopped by the iconic Millbrae Pancake House — one of the most popular breakfast spots in the Bay Area! 🥞 Evelyn was craving her favorite blueberry pancakes, and I wanted to share something new I’ve been dealing with — gout triggers after 60.
Turns out, even sashimi can cause a flare-up now! So if you’re learning how to manage your health while still enjoying good food and good company, this one’s for you. 👇
Takeaway: Learn your triggers, make small changes, and keep enjoying life — Boomer style.

Hello there & Kumusta! Thank you for visiting my fan page! My name is Jeff De Loyola of American Born Pinoy - Resurgence, and welcome to my new YouTube channel coming out of Daly City, California.
Allow me to share my story, I am a Filipino American born in San Francisco, CA., one of the most beautiful cities in the world, at Letterman Army Medical Center in the Presidio. I was raised in San Francisco’s Mission district throughout my teenage years until my family purchased their first home in Daly City, CA., and where my mom still resides till this day.
Ever since I can remember as a young boy, I had always been fascinated with television & hollywood movies, but the thought of ever getting into the film industry was just a far fetch dream. And I now understand why I love watching movies till this day - especially binge watching on Netflix (Thank you Netflix!).
Then came YouTube & Vlogging. I became hooked on a few Youtuber’s - some are ordinary people spreading positive content, and who inspired me and was the moment I thought to myself, “Dude, you can do this! With that said, I’d like to give a few shout outs to those that inspired me: Kyle Jennerman of #becomingfilipino, Joel Mondina of Pambansang Kolokoy, FinnSnow, Andi Eigenmann of Happy Islanders, to name a few! One day I would love to collaborate with you all - see I never stop dreaming :-)
I would also like to take this moment to pay tribute to the one and only, Anthony Bourdain who I thought had the coolest gig in the world! There is also Rick Steves european travel show that captivated me & others. But what truly planted the seed was back in the 1980’s when I was dragged by a bunch of friends to be part of a live audience for as new format show “People Are Talking” with Ann Fraser and Ross McGowan. That show reignited my curiosity especially observing the behind the scences activities - I was blown away. Thank you to all!
Finally with the support from the love of my life, Evelyn, it was then that made it possible for that young boy's dream to take that leap and which ultimately became the resurgence of the American Born Pinoy! Each week on my channel, I will do my best to share positive energy stories that are meaningful, entertaining, informative and raw videos of the filipino american lifestyle whether in entertainment, travel, sports, health & fitness, entrepreunership, tech, anything pets, anything food, anything non-filipino as I do not discriminate, and many, many more as we evolve together. I truly feel we all have a story to tell that will inspire someone :-)
So that is my story ... If I’ve piqued your interest and curiosity, please “like’ my Facebook Fan page and you will be notified when I launch my first YouTube Vlog in the coming weeks, and let’s all ride this exciting new journey together. And who knows, maybe I can inspire you to follow your dreams as I was reinspired to follow mine.
Remember, it’s never too late - just look at me, a middle aged pinoy ;-)
Until next time, Peace & Love ... Mabuhay!
Yo - I’d like to give another shout out to the very talented & badass pinoy artist who designed my logo and was also raised in SF’s Mission District, & who happens to share the same DOB, my brutha from another m***a, my wonder twin: Freddie Ludovico! Check him out at “Freddie’s Art Studio.”
