Morgan and Loreili are one of the primary examples of why autism is considered a spectrum. They "masked" their way through typical society, leading many to say things like, "you don't look autistic." Well, autism doesn't have a "look," and Morgan and Loreili are further proof that if you've met one person with autism, you've only met one person with autism.

Brady is, in many ways, like other little boys his age. He's fun-loving and d***y and wants to play with his toys and his sister. He's also very kind, offering candy and his own books to us during the shoot. Brady is a perfect example of why a diagnosis and support are critical to those on the spectrum.

A common story we heard working on this series was that receiving a diagnosis was very hard. Even professionals often misunderstand and misinterpret autism. Hope, who didn't speak until she was 12 years old, felt the burden of going undiagnosed. With a diagnosis, Hope flourished.

Autism is a broad spectrum. While the people we've showcased so far were young and/or able to communicate verbally, that isn't always the case for those diagnosed with autism. In this video, we meet Skylar, a young man who uses an AAC device to communicate. It's essentially an iPad with pictures that helps him form sentences.
