ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK 😍

Okay, okay. So it's a throwback from our Colorado days. Lots has happened since July 2023. Some really good things, and some not so good things. The important thing is LIFE has a funny way of always working out. (As we remind ourselves all too often)

We took some MUCH NEEDED time off social media to work on the next steps of our journey.

Conquering the Manitou Incline 💪🏼

Before we left the Springs, Jessie had one request: Climb the Manitou Incline.

Just for reference, the Incline is 2,768 stairs. That is equivalent to 200 flights of stairs!

At its steepest, the Incline is a 68% grade with an average grade of 40%. With an elevation Gain: 2,020 ft!

After climbing the incline, you have 2 options to get back down.
1. Take the stairs 🫣 ( They do NOT recommend this for beginners)
2. Take the Barr trail down, which is about 4 miles long.

We decided to take Barr Trail down, as I am no expert 😉

The Incline was an experience. It felt absolutely invigorating to complete this hike. It was definitely no walk in the park, but I feel most have the mindset to finish.

In other news, today is Moving Day ✨️

Heading up to Rocky Mountains National Park!

We have been stationary for about 3 weeks now, and it will definitely feel amazing to get back on the road. We appreciate our friend Justin for letting us and our 4 doggos invade. We can't wait to be back in the springs and hang with you and Chloe 🫶

Hanging In Colorado Springs ✨️

The last few weeks have been so much fun. We have been a little quiet on our socials.

We've been pretty busy, to say the least.
It's almost time to make our next move up the Rocky Mountains to see our adopted family ( hey Greathouse Family 👋)

We plan to hang in the Rockys for a little over a week and then off to KANSAS...

I can't believe we are already on the down stretch to head home. We are heading home to handle a couple of modifications on Clifford, and of course, we miss our Tribe.

Don't worry, this journey is FAR from over.
But any chance we can take to see our people, we will take it!

Next up: Rocky Mountain National Park

You're my best friend, waking up at 5am hiking partner for life, best fur mama, and an absolutely amazing person.

✨️ Garden of the Gods ✨️

Every place we visit is truly unique in its own way.

This place was no different!

with its beautiful formations: /they are ancient sedimentary rocks made of deep-red, pink, and white sandstones, conglomerates, and limestone that were deposited horizontally, but are now tilted vertically due to uplifting.

We have been in Colorado Springs, CO for almost a week! I can NOT rave enough about this state.

Most of you might know, but we are on the hunt to buy some land in the future, and Colorado might be winning thus far 😉

We will be hanging in Colorado for the next month. ( thanks Justin for letting us park in your driveway 🫶) Our plans range from going to the Rocky Mountain National Park, a concert at Red Rock amphitheater, celebrating my birthday, seeing our long distant adopted family ( hi Greathouse Clan 👋) and learning about the hidden gems here in Colorado.

Any suggestions while we are here? We are open to anything!

🅂🅃🄾🅁🅈 🅃🄸🄼🄴

There are a few common ways to get to the Summit of Pikes Peak.

You could drive 🚗
You could even take the Train 🚞

But the people ( Hi Dave, Mellie, Arie, and Will 👋) in this picture HIKED 12 miles UP Pikes peak. That's 14,000 ft elevation. They went from 70 degrees at the bottom of Pikes Peak alllllll the way to the top sitting at 33 degrees.

The group made it to the top of the mountain and needed a ride back down. We wanted to help them on their journey, but we had our four dogs in our Jeep Wrangler, and we were NOT confident they would fit.

Needless to say, they fit! ( 3rd video really shows how smashed they were )

I truly believe we were EXACTLY where we should have been to be able to help this awesome group.

Hopefully, our paths will cross again. But until then, Safe travels 💫

We've been hanging in Utah for about a week now, and we are IN LOVE with the beauty out here.

Fun fact: this is the exact place 2 1/2 years ago where we decided we wanted to live full time, traveling the USA.

so we did just that ✨️

▫️Bought a Bus
◾️Converted Bus
▫️New degree
◾️Online career
▫️Sell the house
◾️TRAVEL

It may look like a small list, but it took us 20 months to reach our goals.

Living in a Bus might sound crazy, but so does taking one vacation a year.

Looking back from where we started, I think we are EXACTLY where we are supposed to be.
