Every film begins long before the camera rolls.

Today was wardrobe testing for As The Light Fades, another milestone on a journey that started as an idea and is steadily becoming a reality. It’s incredible to watch our cast step into these characters and see the world of the film take shape piece by piece.

Independent filmmaking isn’t built by massive studios or unlimited budgets. It’s built by passionate people willing to give their time, energy, creativity, and belief to something bigger than themselves. Every meeting, rehearsal, fitting, and late night is a reminder that great stories come from communities willing to create them.

We’re one step closer to production, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Keep creating. Keep believing. Keep making the films only you can make.

📍 LOCATION & PICTURE CAR SEARCH — As The Light Fades

Our team is currently searching for additional filming locations and a picture vehicle for our upcoming psychological crime thriller filming in Colorado.

We are currently looking for:

• An older-style apartment with a grounded, lived-in feel
(Non-modern interiors preferred.)

• An apartment or trailer that production design would be allowed to temporarily distress/make messy before fully cleaning and restoring afterward

• A school
(Exterior and classroom access preferred.)

• A medical examiner’s office, morgue, lab, or similar space
(Somewhere that could realistically function as a forensic/CSI work environment.)

• A picture car
(Older vehicle preferred — station wagon, SUV, sedan, etc. 1990s or earlier.)

As we move closer to production, we are currently searching for a few filming locations in and around Colorado Springs for our upcoming psychological crime thriller.

We are currently looking for:

• An apartment that does not feel overly modern
(Downtown Colorado Springs preferred, but not required)

• A trailer or apartment where production design would be allowed to temporarily create a messy/distressed look before fully cleaning and restoring the space afterward

• A small church that does not have a modern appearance
