Anyone who has a WordPress site, be careful what links you click in emails even if it LOOKS like it came from your website.

This email came in today in an attempt to spoof confirming my WordPress email.

First, you would see this typically if you login and it wants to confirm it is still accurate.

Second, you would only receive something like this if you changed your admin email and so they are absolutely spammers fishing. I've seen a few variations of imitating WordPress messages.

Third, if you look closely, the email address is not from my website and then if you hover over the link (not click) you can see it's a fake link as well.

Be careful with all sorts of emails and always check authenticity before clicking or entering personal information.

Good morning everyone!! We are getting ready for an amazing Halloween weekend for charity. On Saturday we have a fundraiiser and free trick or treat event in South Springs for Food Trucks Against Homelessness at the Free indoor Halloween trick or treat event and Fundraiser and then on Sunday we are joining my friend Justina Yvonne Baker for her 5th annual event the The 5th Annual Halloween Bouncing Boo Bash & Trunk Or Treat for Charity at Skyzone in North Springs (and I've gone most years and knew to schedule our event not to compete because it's awesome too!!). Mark your calendar and come on out with your kids. It's gonna be lit (and slightly spooky!!)

I was wondering why the Web Archive was down. "

This highlights the changing landscape in security of websites especially as infrastructures become more vulnerable if they aren't keeping up with AI and modern cyber security.

A digital repository of billions of web pages, images and books is offline after being hacked, with millions of users' data also stolen.

If you are using the WordPress plugin vCita for booking and scheduling, it is HIGHLY advised that you remove this plugin from your website and using a different scheduling tool as it has become a backdoor to malware on the websites. As of Friday, it was put on alert and we had to address on a client's website due to vulnerabilites in the plugin that the developers are not dealing with.

If you send emails to your customers, Gmail and Yahoo are getting stricter on delivery requirements and requiring additional settings in your domain to send email marketing campaigns. You can't send from non-domain based emails and if you haven't authenticated your email and web domain, your emails will NOT be delivered to Gmail and Yahoo customers - this makes up many people. If you run email marketing for a business, you will want to understand this or your emails may not be delivered after February 1.
