My name is Mallory Johnson and I am co-owner and designer here at Simply Beyond Colorado. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself for those of you who may not know me. I am a single mother to a sweet 16 year old girl named Zoey who suffers from Dravet Syndrome and Autism (her story on Facebook is on her page: Zoey’s Zone For Hope) and fur mom to one adorable 8 year old goldendoodle named Ginger.
I attended Perry High School, graduating class of 2005. GO MAROONS! I then went on to attend college at Northern Oklahoma College, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and Oklahoma State University. I am a certified medical transcriptionist through Penn Foster. I am also currently a Certified Nurse Aide for a home healthcare agency where I get the pleasure of working for Zoey and taking care of her needs.
We are originally from Oklahoma and made the move to Colorado in July 2014 to have legal access to medical ma*****na for Zoey. We have spent many years advocating for legal use in the state of Oklahoma, including doing a documentary with CNN called W**d 2, along with numerous interviews with news channels and newspapers.
We are involved in Girl Scouts, Cheerleading, Challenger baseball (special needs baseball league), and Cool C.A.T.S. (Special needs community.)
We started Simply Beyond Colorado in May of 2021 as an outlet to express ourselves and destress from the chaotic lives we live. Since then, we have grown into a business that allows us to create, design, and build our ideas into reality. I personally wanted to start Simply Beyond out of a need for my own daughter. Being developmentally behind and still liking cartoons at sixteen, she’s outgrown clothes with characters on them and still wants them, so having the ability to create them for her and see the joy on her face makes it all worth it to me!
Jordan and I have a dream of donating every Christmas to a family in need and hope that someday y’all can help us make that dream a reality!
We are excited to see what the future holds for Simply Beyond Colorado and are excited and thankful to have y’all on this crazy ride with us!
