I think there's quite a bit of truth to this.

Dave Mustaine laments on the current state of rock 'n' roll.

"How long has it been since you heard an album like 'Nevermind' or 'Appetite For Destruction' or 'Rust In Peace' or 'Master Of Puppets?' You just don’t hear records like that anymore. You get maybe one good song on a record now, and people are so used to skipping tracks. That saddens me, because there are a lot of our songs where, if you listen to them multiple times, you'll hear there’s a lot more to them" (via Kerrang).

Congratulations!

It’s official — Soundgarden is now part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

The Seattle legends were inducted this weekend, marking a powerful moment for fans and the grunge community worldwide. The ceremony featured heartfelt tributes, emotional speeches, and unforgettable performances honoring Chris Cornell’s legacy and the band’s monumental impact on music.

Decades later, their sound still echoes through every riff, every lyric, and every artist they’ve inspired.

Van Halen fans, take note!

I'm excited to share a project I've been working on with Genesis - the chronicle of Van Halen, a visual and written journey told through my perspective.

For the first time, we’re opening the Van Halen family archive to reveal rare and never-before-seen photos, giving you a chance to experience our journey from the inside.

Curated by me, this authorized limited-edition book is a celebration of the music, the moments, and the legacy we built together.

Undeniable talent helped launch their 40+ year career. Still one of my favorite bands! 🤘

Undeniable talent helped launch their 40+ year career. Still one of my favorite bands! 🤘

This week in 1979, Iron Maiden released their debut EP, The Soundhouse Tapes. The album featured three songs that were recorded in a single session on December 31, 1978 at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge, England (they booked the session on New Year's Eve because it was the cheapest time available). Shortly thereafter, a London DJ named Neal Kay got a hold of the demo and decided to play it during his shifts at a famous heavy metal club called The Bandwagon. In no time at all, "Prowler" had risen to #1 on the Soundhouse Charts (published in Sounds Magazine) even though the band had yet to release an album! In an effort to capitalize on their new-found popularity, the band pressed 5000 copies of the EP, which could only be purchased by mail order. After selling out in only two weeks, the band was signed by EMI less than a month later. Up the irons!! 🤘

In my humble opinion, Wolfgang makes a very good point about AI.

In a new episode of the 'Rolling Stone Music Now' podcast, Wolfgang Van Halen discussed Alex Van Halen's previous claims that he wanted to use AI to complete unfinished Van Halen songs.

"Al is free to do whatever he wants," the Mammoth bandleader said. "But I think generative AI is f---ing stupid."
