I thought I could push through towing the RV from Arizona to Colorado in a single day after dropping Lauren and the kids at the airport. The desert views leaving Tempe were incredible, but the road has a way of humbling you when you get overconfident.

Between a close call in New Mexico and a midnight tire scare that almost left me stranded without service, this trip became a massive wake-up call when towing an RV.

More than just a gathering. ❤️

There’s something special about the energy at the Xscapers Annual Bash. It's where we first met our good friends Kyle & Michelle as well as Jesse & Melissa back at Xscapers Bash 2023!

We spent the week surrounded by friends, learning, sharing, and making memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Happy 4th birthday to this little goof ball! Always full of energy and s***k, he keeps everyone around him thoroughly entertained and laughing!

We’re going to spend his birthday with Shaun’s side of the family in Huntsville, and he’s looking forward to a week of running around and playing with his cousins that he doesn’t get to see often enough.

We love you Aiden!

We had another trip to Salida today to get the results of the MRI, and thankfully no structural damage on Lauren’s knee or anything that would require surgery 🙌

We still have no clue what caused that amount of inflammation and fluid in her knee, but it at least turned out to not be anything serious.

Her knee is still sore, but she’s starting to move around pretty well on crutches. I’m not sure of the exact recovery timeline, but we’ll take the good news of no surgery.

Early morning wake-up tomorrow for a 7:20 am flight headed towards Alabama to visit family for Aiden’s birthday and for the family to meet Owen!

Who do you have in the Super Bowl today? For the first time that I can remember, we will not be watching. Lauren had her MRI this morning, and is now back resting on the couch and watching the Olympics. I’m hoping to get caught up on some of the hours of work I’ve missed this week.

But in honor of our good friend Kyle W. Shore over at The Wandering Shores, we’ll wish the Seattle Seahawks the best of luck today, especially after my Broncos blew the game a few weeks ago 😁

Hoping to have another episode soon, which will cover our week at the Xscapers Annual Bash. It’s almost ready, but I had to put the editing on pause while we tend to Lauren’s knee.

It has been a whirlwind of a week, in and out of the local health center in Westcliffe and the ER down in Salida. Lauren will not be thrilled I'm sharing this, but I'm asking you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Since last Saturday, she has experienced soreness in her knee, which culminated in a complete inability to move her knee or put any pressure on it by Wednesday. The ER Doctor and Ortho Doctor consider it a medical anomaly and have no clue what is causing the inflammation and fluid in her knee, but our next step is hoping we can last until Sunday morning for a 7:30 am MRI.

She's back and forth between being able to walk slowly on crutches, and then being constrained to a wheel chair until they drain her knee again.

Right now, she's in good spirits, largely pain free, and trying to learn how to just sit still and be ok with bed rest 😁

I on the other hand feel helpless, sitting and watching her go through excruciating pain and having no clue what's next. Hopefully the steroid pack will work and this will all just go away.

🚨🚨 It's been awhile, but we finally released a new video from our time out in the Arizona deserts in early January!

There is something truly magical about the Arizona desert. 🌵 We headed to Quartzsite to escape the cold, reconnect with friends, and remind ourselves why we chose the RV life.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing—we kicked things off with a severe water leak that put our DIY skills to the test. But between the repairs and the beautiful chaos of traveling with kids, we celebrated a desert birthday around the campfire and found exactly what we were looking for under those epic Arizona skies. 🌅 This is the side of road life that keeps us moving.
