Quick water change on my brackish tank that I filmed last year. It's right next to my kitchen sink, so the whole process probably took 15 minutes total. No plants to fertilize, and measuring the specific gravity (SG) only takes a few seconds.

I didn't add any salt this time since SG was on the higher side, but usually I start with 2 Tbsp of marine salt per gallon. Brackish animals are very forgiving since they're used to fluctuating levels of fresh versus salt water. If you've never given them a try before, highly recommend!

A couple of variegated anubias caught my eye at an LFS... should I have gotten one? I was worried about how difficult they might be to take care of in order to keep the white patterns showing up on new leaves. (If you're near Colorado Springs, I saw them in InsideReef!)

I keep a lot of nano fish and was curious if my fish would eat this new food called "Magic Nano Feed." It's very fine like a powder, so I recommend using a spoon to scoop it out so it won't stick to your fingers. Because it's made of krill and anchovies, it has quite the strong smell that immediately attracted almost all my fish. The animals that had a harder time eating it tended to either be messy eaters or prefer bigger food sizes.
