Weir, who passed away on Saturday, attended Fountain Valley School in the 1960s and met his future bandmate, John Perry Barlow, while playing on the school's football team. Weir was honored at a reunion in 2015, where he played an impromptu mini-concert for attending alumni.

For decades, I lived with debilitating migraines. Not just headaches, the kind that led to ambulance rides and ER visits. I did everything you’re “supposed” to do. CT scans, doctors, medications. Still no real answers. Then I met Coach Kris.
He noticed something no one else ever had, alignment issues in my neck and shoulder.
He said, “Let’s work on that.” At some point later, I realized something incredible:
I hadn’t had a migraine in a long time, like a year! Now it’s goin on four years. I got my life back! Every once in a while, I’ll feel one trying to come on and Kris has given me simple exercises that usually stop it before it ever gets bad. This has been life-changing. Coach Kris hasn’t just helped me heal and get stronger — he’s become someone I truly value as a friend.

I can’t promise he’ll eliminate your migraines. But I can say I’ve seen him do amazing things not only for me, but for several others that I know. Thank you Kris!

Mom always said to get to bed on time! Turns out she was right, a recent study suggests that the timing of your sleep patterns may be linked to an increased risk of dementia. Circadian rhythms, which regulate the body's internal clock, play a crucial role in maintaining healthy sleep patterns and overall bodily functions. Disruptions to these rhythms, caused by factors like light levels, can lead to shifts in sleep and activity patterns. The study found that individuals with weaker circadian rhythms had a higher risk of developing dementia compared to those with stronger rhythms. Maintaining a strong circadian rhythm aligned with the 24-hour day may help reduce the risk of dementia, although further research is needed to fully understand the connection. Source:

A new study finds that sleep timing is linked to dementia risk, as people with weak circadian rhythms face a 2.5 times higher risk of developing cognitive decline.

Happy 150 Colorado! Colorado and the United States are celebrating significant anniversaries in 2026, with the country marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and Colorado commemorating 150 years of statehood. The sesquicentennial celebration in Colorado includes various initiatives such as a documentary film series, a historic marker program, and oral history curation. Special events are planned throughout the year, including museum exhibits, mural unveilings, and a special forever stamp dedication by the U.S. Postal Service. Local and regional institutions across the state are also organizing events to celebrate Colorado's rich history.

It's Monday and the holidays are over! But returning to work after the holidays can be challenging due to post-holiday stress. Research shows that vacations offer short-term well-being benefits, but these diminish quickly upon returning to work. Strategies like creating an inbox plan, scheduling focused time blocks, and allowing buffer time can help ease the transition back to work and maintain well-being. Expect that it may take time to fully regain work rhythm after holidays. Source:

You’re back from the holidays, your inbox is overflowing, and your brain is still on vacation. Learn why this happens and how to ease back into work without guilt.
