On February 17th, a major fire destroyed the historic clubhouse at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. 100 years old, Oakland Hills is a pillar of professional golf in the U.S, hosting 17 Major Championships and the Ryder Cup. In 1981 Arnold Palmer won the Senior Open at Oakland Hills and became the first player to win the U.S. Amateur, the U.S. Open and the Senior Open. Because of the fire, the club's loyal and longtime employees--many who have worked there for generations--now face unemployment. It will be more that a year before they can return to their jobs. To honor the historic connection between Arnie and Oakland Hills, the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is matching all contributions to a special fund to help employees of Oakland Hills. Foundation President Ken Boehner joins us Sunday on Tee To Green with more information about how you can help.
The USGA has created a new National Championship, for golfers with disabilities. The first U.S. Adaptive open will be played in July at Pinehurst and Julia Pine with the USGA will be dropping by with more details.

This is Scott Cutty. For the past decade, Scott has been the in-studio producer/engineer for Tee To Green at our Network Syndicator Sports Byline, based in San Francisco. He has mixed the show, fired network tones, called our guests, played commercials and music, kept the hosts in line and made us sound really good. Besides the professional relationship, Scott has become a dear friend. Recently, Scott had a medical emergency and nearly died. Because of his health, he is leaving SportsByline and taking early retirement. He has worked his last Tee To Green broadcast. As I said many times on-air, he is the best in the business. I have been fortunate to work with many great producers and engineers in over 45 years in broadcasting, but Scott is the best. THANK YOU Scott. We will miss you.
Because of Scott's absence, we have been running recorded shows for the last four weeks. Tee To Green returns with a new producer and a live show this Sunday. Our guests are teaching pro Jake Thurm and Ted Eleftheriou with the National Golf Foundation

2021 was a very good year for golf - and the business of golf. It was also a great year to be a golf fan as the PGA Tour, the LPGA and the Tour Champions all took turns giving us lots of rollercoaster thrills and memorable moments. This Sunday, join us as we look back on 2021 with our 16th Annual Tee To Green "Best Of" awards.
Bill Bales of Clarity.Golf will also join us to look at the newest and fastest growing golf trend in the country. The boom in "off-course" golf and indoor golf. We'll talk to Bill about upgraded driving ranges and short game facilities, TopGolf, home golf simulators and more of what he likes to refer to as derivative-golf.

This Sunday, Tee To Green looks at the two big golf stories of the past week, the passing of Lee Elder and the Tiger Woods press conference prior to the start of Tiger's Hero World Challenge event in the Bahamas. Mike Purkey, contributing writer for "Morning Read" at SI.com joins us to examine the legacy left behind by Elder, who broke many of the color barriers in golf and was the first black to play in the Masters. He died last Sunday at the age of 87. Purkey will also react to Tiger's comments on his golfing future and his potential return to golf. We will also visit with Golf Channel's Ron Sirak who will help us look back on what was a very good year for Ladies Golf and the LPGA Tour.

Safe to say the Beatles have had a major influence on most aspects of our society over the past half-century, but Golf has been relatively Beatles free---until now. Montgomery National Golf Club is an 18 hole public course in Montgomery, Minnesota, southwest of the Twin Cities. With a guitar shaped bunker, a Yellow Submarine in the pond and holes named Penny Lane, Abbey Road and Strawberry Fields, Montgomery National is also the world's only Beatles-themed golf course. Owner Greg McKush, a passionate Beatles fan, joins us Sunday morning on Tee To Green to talk about "A Day In the Life" of Montgomery National Golf Club.
We will also visit with Dan Anderson, CFO of the Payne Stewart Kid's Golf Foundation.

Everyone likes a good spooky ghost story and this Sunday, for Halloween, Anthony Pioppi will stop by Tee To Green to share a few good golf ghost stories. Pioppi is the author of "Haunted Golf" and you will be surprised to hear just how many haunted courses there are around the world.
For the past couple of decades, Dr. Bob Rotella has been recognized as the premier Sports Psychologist in the world. He has helped pro athletes, coaches and even business leaders train their minds and change their attitudes to perform at their best. In sports, he's best known for his work with golfers such as Davis Love, Nick Price, Justin Thomas, Jim Furyk and Rory McIlroy. He's also written numerous books on the topic, including the best-selling, "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect." His latest is called "Make Your Next Shot Your Best Shot" and he drops by to talk about the book, his life and his career.

The United States takes a commanding 11-5 lead over Europe into Sunday's final round of singles matches at the 2021 Ryder Cup. Can the Americans hang on and reclaim the Cup or will Europe stage a final day comeback? The 2021 World Long Drive Championships get underway this week in Mesquite, Nevada. The biggest hitters in the world have re-organized as the Pro Long Drive Association and PLDA spokesman Ryan Reisbeck returns to the show to talk about the name change and to preview the World Championships, which will feature long-hitting PGA Tour star Bryson DeChambeau.
