We almost canceled this trip.

After my husband lost his job, it felt like the wrong time to spend money on anything extra. But canceling meant losing even more, so we went anyway.

I completely unplugged. No business, no social media, just completely in each moment.

Watching my toddler experience the ocean for the first time was everything. Every. Thing.

Being with my best friends and family reminded me why I’m doing all of this in the first place.

It’s not just about the work. It’s about the life we’re building and the moments we get to live in along the way.

This trip reminded me how important it is to step away sometimes.

Even a few days away can pull you out of survival mode and help you remember what actually matters.

Don’t forget your "Why" as you're building this thing.

Taking regular time away can make or break a business. Ask me how I know!

Sometimes the trip you almost cancel ends up being the one that saves your sanity.

Sometimes life is just… a lot.
You’re tired. You’re trying to hold it all together. And the idea of showing up online feels like too much.

But your visibility doesn’t have to go away when your energy does.
You can still show up softly.
You can still serve your people without performing.
And you can still grow your brand without pretending you’re fine.

Because the hard seasons deserve grace, not silence.

We are humans first and business owners second.

Which one of these ideas feels doable for you right now? Drop it below, tag me in it when you post it and I’ll cheer you on!

Ok, hold on a second...there's no way you've posted everything your audience needs to know about you!

Here’s the thing: your content doesn’t stop being valuable just because you’re tired of looking at it.

Most people don’t remember what you posted last month, let alone last quarter.

And remember, marketing is saying the same thing over and over in different ways in order to articulate your message!

Your brand story deserves to be told over and over again. Your audience needs reminders of who you are, why you started, and how you help. That’s what builds trust and familiarity.

Not everyone sees your every post and those that do won't notice or mind. I promise.

So repurpose that post from last spring. Turn a caption into a reel. Show a behind-the-scenes moment from your day that ties back to your mission. Let people see the real, messy, human side of you.

Because no one’s tired of your content, they’re just waiting for you to tell it again, in a way that makes them feel something.

You’re not running a charity. You’re running a business.
Boundaries don’t make you rude. They make you sustainable.

There was a season in my business where “yes” rolled off my tongue way too easily.

Yes, I can take that last-minute project.
Yes, I can discount it.
Yes, I can squeeze you in, even if it means working through the weekend.

But every “yes” was a quiet “no” to myself and no to rest, no to confidence, no to trust that the right clients would stay.

People pleasing felt like part of the job. Like a rite of passage for entrepreneurs... “pay your dues, be grateful, overdeliver.” But what it really was… was fear.

The moment I stopped trying to be everything to everyone was the moment my business finally felt like mine.

If you’re in that phase, you’re not failing... you’re learning one of the hardest lessons in business:
You can’t build success from self-betrayal.

What’s one boundary you’ve had to learn the hard way?

In business and in life people will come and go.
Some will cheer you on.
Some will question you.
Some will watch quietly from the sidelines just to see if you’ll make it.

But here’s the truth:
Life doesn’t change based on who’s clapping or criticizing.
You change.

Your mindset.
Your confidence.
Your willingness to keep showing up when it’s uncomfortable.

Business is personal.
Because when you’re the brand, every judgment can feel like it’s about you.
But it’s not. It’s about where they are, not where you’re going.

So keep building.
Keep growing.
Keep being the version of you that no one can take credit for but you.

The noise will fade. The results will speak.
And you’ll realize
you were never building for their approval anyway. 🖤

Working with The Homeschool Safari has been such a joy! 🧡 🦒

They came in ready to learn, willing to try new things, and completely committed to growing their brand on social media.

Watching them step out of their comfort zone, overcome camera shyness and show up with confidence on social media has been amazing.

Every time one of their face-to-camera videos pops up in my feed, I can’t help but smile.

It’s such an honor to be trusted with someone’s business, their vision, their heart, their story and it’s not something I ever take lightly.

Thank you for allowing me to serve your business and I look forward to what we will do next together! ❤️

If you are interested in (or already are) Homeschooling your children please check out the absolutely amazing online curriculum they have built from the ground up to support parents.

They have such a heart for kids and parents and it truly shows in their program!

❤️

For so long, I wore “doing it all” like a badge of honor.
The late nights, the endless to-do lists, the coffee that went cold three times before I ever finished it.

I told myself it was part of the grind, that exhaustion meant progress.

But here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:
When you’re constantly proving your worth through productivity, you miss the peace that actually grows your business.

The moment I stopped trying to do it all,
the right clients started showing up.
The clarity came.
The money followed.
Because my energy finally matched the business I’d been praying for.

Rest isn’t weakness.
It’s strategy.
And when you build systems, strategy, and support around you, things finally start flowing again.

You don’t have to do this alone anymore.
That’s why I built my programs, to help you run your business with intention, not exhaustion.
