HAFTARAH FOR SHABBAT CHOL HAMO'ED SUKKOT

Ezekiel 38:18 - 39:16

"And it will come to pass on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares HaShem G-d, that My blazing indignation will flame in My nostrils. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken; Surely there shall be a great noise on that day in the land of Israel. And at My presence, the fishes of the sea and the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the field and all the creeping things that creep upon the earth and all the men who are upon the surface of the earth shall quake, and all the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall to the ground. And I will call the sword against him upon all My mountains, says HaShem G-d: every man's sword shall be against his brother. And I will judge against him with pestilence and with blood, and rain bringing floods, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone will I rain down upon him and upon his hordes and upon the many peoples that are with him. And I will reveal Myself in My greatness and in My holiness and will be recognized in the eyes of many nations, and they will know that I am HaShem."

"And you, Son of man, prophesy about Gog, and say; So says HaShem G-d: Lo! I am against you, O Gog, prince and head of Meshech and Tubal. And I will unbridle and entice you and lead you up from the utmost parts of the north and bring you upon the mountains of Israel. And I will smite the bow out of your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand. Upon the mountains of Israel shall you fall, you and all your hordes, and the people that are with you; to the birds of prey, to all the winged creatures and the beasts of the field have I given you to be devoured. Upon the open field shall you fall, for I have spoken, says HaShem G-d. And I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell in safety in the islands, and they will know that I am HaShem. And I will make known My Holy Name in the midst of My people Israel, and I will no longer cause My Holy Name to be profaned, and the nations will know that I, HaShem, am holy in Israel. Behold it is coming, and it will be, says HaShem G-d: that is the day whereof I have spoken. Then the inhabitants of the cities of Israel will go forth and make fires and heat up with the weapons, the bucklers, and the encompassing shields, the bows and the arrows and the handstaves and the spears, and burn them as fires for seven years. So that they shall carry no wood from the fields nor cut down any from the forests, for they shall make fires from the weapons. Thus will they spoil those who spoiled them and plunder those who plundered them, says HaShem G-d. And it shall come to pass on that day that I will give Gog a place there as a grave in Israel, the valley of them who pass along the east side of the sea, and it will then stop those who pass along. And there shall they bury Gog and all his hordes, and they shall call it the Valley of Hamon Gog [the masses of Gog]. And seven months shall the House of Israel be burying them in order to purify the land. They will bury all the people of the land, and they will be renowned; it is a day when I will be glorified, says HaShem G-d. Men of continuous employment they shall separate, who pass through the land, burying those who pass through with those who are left on the surface of the land, in order to purify it, at the end of seven months shall they search. And when they that pass through shall pass and see a human bone, they shall build a sign next to it until the buriers bury it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus they shall purify the land."

Shabbat Shalom all, have a great weekend. With family, or just you and God, its all good. Keep praying for at least some kind of peace in middle east in Gaza. Hate to think Texas sent great red Heifers for nothing. :)

The Media interviewed us about the Hamas attacks: "Gazette, thank you for reaching out to the Jewish souls of Colorado Springs this Shabbat of October 4, 2025, known to us as 12 Tshrei, 5786. We remain in both sorrow and yet vigilance of our own community and Colorado peoples safety, now nearing the second anniversary of the Hamas attack. Knowing Hamas means "violence", and our hearts and spiritual yearns are to achieve peace in preparation of the coming Third Temple for the worlds King of peace that will ultimately sit in that holy site. We say "Shalom Aleichem", to say "peace to you" from the house of peace. The peoples of Israel were not given peace, but violence. The Gazans of Egypt still there in Gaza City and region, remain dear to our heart as our brothers and neighbors. We pray for their safety too, but also know, that Hamas struck out, upset even about Red Heifers from neighboring Texas, and seeking to avoid the inevitable Third Temple. We've been down this path before, and we do tire from violence, as we were attacked Yom Kippur, as another form of anniversary this has converged with on these brutal and senseless Hamas attacks. What we will not tire from, is praying for the peace of Jerusalem, and praying for all Israeli lives, and people still in Gaza. Violence can not be negotiated with mere prayers, we concede this sadly is the case. Yet, we do pray for our leaders here of President Trump, and Israels Netanyahu without ends, to please, in the name of peace, end their violence. We simply ask that people keep the Gazans needs for love, safety and food as near, as if they too were our own family here, for they are and to remember, as exceptional these times they may be, there is one God. It is so easy to think is it all far away over there, we remember the attacks in Boulder even, brought the attacks by Hamas and sympathizers much closer to us. Attacks on us are not the answer. Tonights Shabbat is a time for us to pray, and we ask all to join us in tonight Shabbat prayers that the King Of Peace, be not far off, keep us waiting not forever, come King of Peace that we may share peace, not violence. Tomorrow's Torah portions focus to Deuteronomy 32:1-32:52. Some believe Israel needs criticism for it's handlings or even sometimes, sins, in Gaza. Yet this Torah also proves, God does put an end to Israels oppressor in modern Hamas, and we ask to let God do his part, while our part as his people, is to show compassion, and pray".

The media also asked us, and we chose to respond, about Synagogue security these days. Sometimes your Home Synagogue is your safest bet in uncertain times, but for the Synagogues with buildings for people inside, we responded with the following:

Greetings again, to your other questions; "Yes, people may call me many things sometimes fair, sometimes not, but when speaking of the ecclesiastical and text, I do go by Rabbi Howard and am an ordained Rabbi, for what is written of the text or it's light and interpretation.

And I am a certified Israeli Behavioral Detection Officer, called BDO for short. In matters of security I have an impressive resume, I like your question 'what Synagogues can be doing to protect themselves?', is I like the words "tough love". Guns may or may not keep a Synagogue safe, but guns in the other guys hands don't. The idea is to keep others with guns out, ....before they get in. A BDO doesn't discriminate because a BDO focuses to behaviour, not religions, not ethnicity, not skin color, not a person background as criminal or clean, ....a BDO focuses to behaviour right there and then you see instantly. Behaviour that calls out something as a red flag. You have basically three tiers, or layers of security, before an attacker is inside shooting the occupants. The BDO is looking outside, further away, and intervenes before they get inside in a visual reliance skill developed to detect things out of place. A BDO is the 'before the fact guy'. It's quite counter-intuitive and totally preventative. See a guy with a bulge under his jacket on a hot day in hurry? The BDO goes to the opposite, intercepts, and prevents in lightning speed. In a hurry, ok, lets find out why, and slow him down as the very reason we slow him down, is he was in a hurry. If he's late, that's his fault, not mine. An attacker want's to wait until they are all inside, and distracted by the Rabbi talking, much easier targets. Late, might be a pressure tactic to get in, and attack. When the Rabbi says "be on time", he's not joking, the guys that come late, might be the attacker. As a BDO, we aren't discriminating or profiling, as we only focus to suspicious behaviour, and it's worth anyone's time to learn. You cant be lazy, you do have to be alert, and actually get out in the parking lots and looking around."

The humble beginnings of Mountain Majesty Ministries, had about 1200 followers for it's Christian side, and many of its Jewish side as well. It even survived a gun and fi****ms violence attack from extremist on a sattelite dish when it began broadcasting it's message of love. Past podcasting proved it can start small, and reach people worldwide.

Did you know that Mountain Majesty Ministries, had involvement of Clifford A. Johnson, and Carol Dee Johnson, Cowboys from El Reno Oklahoma, who knew of God of Abraham through a family bible they kept on their saddle? They began to learn Yeshua was a jew, who lived as a Jew.

There you have it. A prophecy in Isaiah that Shabbat will return, world wide. Every week, in Shabbat. It's not then, the past or now ...just, not, Sundays. This prophecy refers after Israel was reformed, so the time is not much further away that Shabbats will be restored.

Shabbat Shalom all! In love, peace, be with family, friends, music, relaxation, reading his words and focus to God. We will do our post this weekend! Moses didn't enter the promised land, Joshua did....and...we must keep sabbath! Check this out, if Sunday worship replaced Friday night and Saturday,...how come Isaiah 66:23 prophecies for these end times, that "And it shall come to pass, that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me sayeth Adonai". It is prophecy that all shall return to Shabbat in these end times.

All it takes, is love, passion, values, non-judgementalism, drive, leadership, prayer to ask Hashem if it's right for you, and love for Israel and it's God.
