Outlaw Poet Digital Films

Outlaw Poet Digital Films Filmmaker, Streaming Producer, and Video Content Creator/Editor Contact for a consultation.

Whether you’re prepared to commission a series of short video clips for a commercial ad campaign or scouting local creative talent to work on your band’s music video, there’s a good chance that what you’re looking for is a storyteller! As a performance poet, I spent decades learning to wrangle thoughts and emotions from within and translate them into a viscerally impactful conversation with my audience. In my earliest days as a filmmaker, I came face-to-face with how difficult & daunting it can be to translate an idea from the page to the screen, and then make it happen. I want to take what I’ve learned over the years about navigating the “disconnect” between what we imagine and what we see and use that experience to tell YOUR story, with cinematic quality!

*Rates will vary based on project scope & length. What can I help you with?:

- You need to promote your business/brand or event and are tired of your typical “selfie” videos.

- Your creative project is missing that "visual element", but you don’t know where to start.

- Maybe you've written the next “American classic” short film script, but you don’t know how to break the script down into working shot lists.

- Perhaps you've caught the “Directing Bug” and already filmed your cinematic masterpiece, but you need an editor or post-production supervisor to help you put it all together.

- Are you still in that “idea” stage and need a collaborator who can take your concept from “step 1” to “all done”?

We're building the crew for our next feature, The Price of Staying — a micro-budget indie adaptation with heart, grit, and a veteran-led production team behind it.

https://www.outlawpoetdigitalfilm.com/post/crew-call-the-price-of-staying-is-hiring

Every film starts with a belief that a story can cut through the noise and land somewhere true. This is that story for us. Now we're assembling the crew to bring it to life.

We're hiring key department heads for an 18-day shoot in Colorado, targeting Q1 2027.

If you or someone you know fills one of these roles and is hungry to work on a story that matters, we want to hear from you:

- Director of Photography (DP)

- Production Manager (PM)

- Gaffer

- Sound Mixer

- Hair & Makeup (HMU)

- Wardrobe / Costume Designer

- Production Designer

What we're offering:

- Stipend + screen credit + meals

- A set culture that values craft over ego

- A mission-first environment where veterans, emerging voices, and seasoned craftspeople work side by side

This is a heart-forward, micro-budget production. What we lack in studio cash, we make up for in preparation, respect, and creative authority.

To apply: Email [email protected] with your role in the subject line, or visit our crew call page at https://lnkd.in/guuq89hp.

Tag someone who belongs in this room. Shares are deeply appreciated.
