🥟 Crispy Potato Samosa Recipe
🛒 Ingredients:
🥔 For the Filling (Potato Masala):
🥔 3 medium boiled potatoes (mashed)
🌿 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
🌶️ 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
🌰 1 tsp cumin seeds
🧂 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
🧄 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
🌽 ½ cup boiled peas (optional)
🧈 1 tbsp oil
🧡 1 tsp red chili powder
💛 ½ tsp turmeric powder
🧆 1 tsp garam masala

🌾 For the Dough (Samosa Patti):
🌾 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
🧂 ½ tsp salt
🛢️ 4 tbsp oil or ghee
💧 Water as needed (for kneading)

👩🍳 Preparation Steps:
🥣 Step 1: Prepare the Dough
1. In a large bowl, add flour, salt, and oil. 🧂🛢️
2. Mix well with your hands until the mixture becomes crumbly. 🤲
3. Gradually add water and knead into a firm, smooth dough. 💧
4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20–30 minutes. ⏳

🍲 Step 2: Make the Filling
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. 🌰🔥
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds. 🧄
3. Add boiled peas, mashed potatoes, salt, chili powder, turmeric, and garam masala. 🌶️💛
4. Mix well and cook for 3–4 minutes.
5. Add chopped coriander leaves and green chilies. 🌿
6. Let the filling cool completely before using. ❄️

🫓 Step 3: Shape the Samosas
1. Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls. 🍋
2. Roll each ball into a thin oval shape.
3. Cut the oval in half to make two semi-circles. ✂️
4. Take one semi-circle, fold it into a cone shape, and seal the edge with water. 💧
5. Fill the cone with potato masala mixture. 🥔
6. Seal the open edge tightly so filling doesn’t leak while frying. 🔒

1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame. 🛢️🔥
2. Add samosas carefully and fry until golden and crispy. 🥟✨
3. Take them out and place on tissue paper to remove extra oil. 🧻

Don’t fry on high flame, or the crust won’t be crispy. 🔥
You can also use chicken or keema filling instead of potato. 🍗
