Today, we received two of the greatest compliments we could ever receive:
1. “Thank you for being honest, transparent, and straightforward.”
2. “This doesn’t even smell like a vet clinic.”
The small town doctor and staff you remember. The little clinic where you took your new puppy for its first visit. The place where relationships mattered more than sales, conversations weren’t rushed, and product flyers didn’t cover every surface.
We use great pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and technology to help us do our job, and we are grateful for the companies and representatives who make that possible.
But we also believe not every interaction needs to become a transaction.
We work hard not to turn our social media into a storefront. This space is for connection, education, and sharing the work we do every day. There are already enough advertisements in our lives.
That’s why we’ve invested in our website. It’s a better place for scheduling, information, and business. We want our social media to remain focused on having fun, our patients, our clients, and our profession.
We aren’t perfect, but our hope is to use modern technology to move veterinary medicine forward while honoring the simplicity of the past.
We absolutely intend to grow Valeo, and certainly have big plans. However, mobile veterinary medicine will always be at our core. Being out in our community daily gives us a perspective that simply can’t be found behind four walls.
We are also incredibly grateful for our local veterinary clinics. They do amazing work, and there are many situations where a brick-and-mortar hospital is the right choice.
Perhaps our ancestors had a few things figured out. Sometimes the best innovations don’t replace old-fashioned values. They help us find our way back to them.
As I’ve said countless times… Simple is always the answer, but that can be complicated.
