June is World Infertility Awareness Month.

To the ones who are silently struggling to become pregnant…
To the ones who hold their breath at every ultrasound…
To the ones who are undergoing fertility treatments with so much hope and so much fear in their hearts…
To the ones who smile through the pain of yet another insensitive comment from someone who just doesn’t get it…
To the ones who feel stuck between grieving the life they planned and holding on to the dream they still hope for…

Infertility isn’t just about a negative test.
It’s about grieving a version of your future you thought was guaranteed.
It’s feeling like your body is betraying you.
It’s sitting quietly while others celebrate something you’re still praying for.
It’s carrying a weight that most people don’t see and even fewer understand.

Everyone talks about addiction on the addicts side, let’s talk about addiction from the family side, I am speaking on my personal experiences, we loose everything as well. I have lost aunts, uncles, cousins, I have seen dfs rip my cousin, nieces and nephews out of homes! I have lost relationships I thought I would have for life, I’ve lost jobs from the stress, tons of sleepless nights from being up worrying, morning the loss of parents who are still alive, the waiting for the phone call saying they are gone, planning funeral whiles they are still alive so your prepared , watching people you love slowing drifting away, the Abuse we deal with from the addict, the constant walking on egg shells, the feeling of being defeated, and yes we are so happy when they get clean but we are stuck with ptsd, always watching for signs trying to heal while being happy at the same time, addiction is the worst disease ever, rather it’s drugs, pills, alcohol, gambling whatever. It effects everyone around you and causes pain, trauma and triggers for everyone around you.
