Peace and Love are the means to resolving local and national problem according to local documentary maker

This documentary, WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer, starts off with scenes of police brutality toward Black people that I’ve seen over the years on TV and in other documentaries. They are jarring, intense, hard to witness. Hearing “I can’t breathe” uttered in gasping breaths again...

Hello Howard County Residents,

I hope all of you are doing well. I would like to celebrate Howard County's newest reader-supported online newspaper, HowardCourier.com.

Did you know that the newspaper has already begun dedicated news coverage of Wilde Lake and is looking to do the same in other communities.

There is no outside money coming in, which means no outside influence. That's good news for Wilde Lake and all of Howard County.

Up to twelve, mostly part-time news and feature reporters will start writing articles in January, covering everything from crime, politics, entertainment and just about anything happening in Howard County.

News coverage will not be a problem. The biggest issue is support as this entity is new and not widely known.

The newspaper needs subscribers immediately to meet the financial demands of January and beyond.

The Courier is also looking for locals to participate in the process by submitting intelligent, thoughtful letters to the editor. Vibrant conversations are apparently welcome.

I have been noticing lately that there is an increase in the number of visits to our About Us Page.

I have been thinking, it's time to update it. My thought is that many want to know more about the ownership and who might be influencing the company.

The edit will be easy. We receive 90% of our funds from readers in Howard County. You influence us and you keep us afloat.

The other 10% comes from Google ads and friends and relatives who want to support the effort.

If you have not yet become a Howard Courier member, but you want to help us bring more news to you now, please subscribe today. And once you subscribe, please invite your neighbors and friends.

To move in the right direction, we need 20 new members per day. We are far from that goal. Please help today.

If you're already helping, please accept my warm thanks

Regards,

Ricardo Whitaker
