Nearly 1,000 workers went on strike Monday at a Michigan plant that supplies axles and drive shafts for the production of Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons that are produced at the General Motors Wentzville Assembly.

Although the Wentzville plant is still operating, it has idled due to a lack of parts in the past.
