As 2019 comes to a close, let's take a look back at all the amazing things NABJ-MU accomplished this past semester! We served our community at the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, Lenoir Woods assisted care facility and various other places in Columbia. Our general body meetings covered everything from dressing to impress, monetizing our passions and how to be strong, successful minorities in journalism. Our Unity Conference had workshops on networking, resume building, video editing, and in addition, we were lucky enough to have industry professionals and NABJ leaders share their knowledge and advice with us. Overall, this Fall was a huge success for NABJ-MU and we are more than excited to see what 2020 has in store! So stay tuned!

Hello NABJ community!! The Ale chapter has been having a great Fall semester that was culminated with our annual Unity Conference this past weekend. This year's conference theme was “STAND OUT”. As young aspiring journalists, it is important for us to make sure we stand out from the others as we strive for success! The conference consisted of several workshops focusing on skills like resume building, multimedia editing, radio work, finding your writing voice and the business of journalism. These workshops were led by an incredible group of industry professionals who were kind enough to share their time and knowledge. The event finished with a captivating talk from our keynote speaker, Carol Daniel, president of the St. Louis NABJ Chapter.

Thank you to all our speakers and the Missouri Journalism School for helping us make this event possible! 🖤💛

Calling all NABJ-MU alumni! We are so excited to announce that this year's annual Media Tour will take place in New York City! We are only 8 days away from our arrival in NYC on February 5. Our students will be participating in a number of networking opportunities and daily visits to some of New York's most esteemed media outlets.

In addition to our daily stops, we will be hosting a networking mixer at The Liberty on February 7th from 6-9 pm. The purpose of this networking mixer is to connect our students with media professionals in NYC and re-connect with alumni of the University.

Appetizers will be provided and drinks will be available for purchase at our cash bar. Register for this free event here: https://missouri-nabj-in-nyc-2019.eventbrite.com
