Cushwa/Rad Pies Review:

We discovered this place from a TikTok my wife found. Everything looked so appetizing we said we just had to give it a try! So we sat out on our 35 minute Journey to check it out :)

The first thing we noticed was the location is kind of in the cut and on the opposite side of where Google Maps directs you. The second thing we noticed is it is next door to a cannabis dispensary πŸ˜‚ I imagine great business to be next to serving food?

Now let's get to the part of the review that will tantalize your taste buds!

Location:
This location has a taphouse and pizza spot both located conveniently next to each other inside. On one side you have Cushwa and on the other you have Rad Pies. I noticed they also had plenty of seating in the main section and then a section that was blocked off for I guess party events or overflow when the main is full? Inside that section they had some really cool decor; Pulp Fiction, Beastie Boys

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere here is pretty laid back. There is plenty of room and space for everyone to enjoy. Even with the presents of adult beverages, they also have a family-friendly vibe. We also noticed that families come here and bring their kids as it also is a pizza spot which is separate from the Tap House. The aesthetic here is really cool as they have the bar set up really nicely with all of the taps on draft. I noticed in the back room they have a lot of picture worthy decor and a wall that had green plant vibes for pictures but that was sectioned off. The Rad Pies gave me a bit of nostalgia as I thought of pizza Planet from Toy Story with that Neon sign and yellow pizza boxes.

Service:
The service here was prompt once we were seated. We were even greeted once we walked in and directed to use the QR code for menu. One thing I noticed that I think really should be included in the website is all of the menu options! It felt like a whole other world opened up to us when we scan the QR code because we were able to see appetizers, food options, as well as cocktails and desserts! None of which is on the actual website which I found odd. Definitely should add more than just the beer menu on the main website; I feel like it would bring more customers in because they would be able to see more of the options :) Our server was nice and very prompt with coming to take our order once we were seated as well as bringing out our food as soon as it was available. He even came to check on us once we were done and offered us boxes to take the rest of our food.

The Food/Drinks:
We started off with drinks, my wife is pregnant so she got a ginger ale and I got something called Scooby Snacks. My drink had coconut banana giving it a real tropical vibe topped with a cosmic brownie triangle for garnishment. It was very delicious, but it's worth noting it is thicker than most other drinks so be prepared for that.

Our food choices were cheese pizza with extra marinara sauce as we always like to start with the basic original before we go fancy especially for these first time visits. We know if they do cheese right everything else will be great. We also don't want the toppings to carry the pizza, as a pizza should be able to stand on its own with the most basic of ingredients first before the toppings elevate it to the next level.

We are super happy to report that the crust alone is delicious. It tasted like a really good garlic bread base and the tomato sauce and cheese also tasted of a very high quality! It's also Detroit style so the sauce is on the top of the cheese. The cheese also crisps up nice on the edges of the pizza for you to enjoy or peel off and get right to the goodness. The chicken wings with the Chipotle barbecue sauce we're also wonderful. You can tell that the chicken was seasoned well even before saucing them up. The flavor was immaculate and the sauce added a bit of sweet Heat with a kick. I took a few of them home and enjoyed them for lunch the next day. The wings are meaty and seasoned well. I'm excited to try more offerings on both the pizza and wings.

I'm also looking forward to coming back to try the Cushwa tap House side. A note I might add on that is that they have a vast beer selection available as well as cocktails and slushies. They however, do not have flight options in the traditional sense, but they do offer 5 oz pours that kind of equate to what you would get in a flight size just about. The only reason I was a little disappointed about the flight not being available is because with such a vast selection of beers, you really want to be able to sample five or six to see which ones you may want to get a full glass of without breaking the bank. Most places will offer a flight for around 20 to $25 and it includes at least five to six options in that even though they are sample size. The 5 oz pours are nice though, but that's costly if you want to sample many different ones. Might be worth adding an option to get sample sizes and the more you get the more you save. I noticed on the website they also offer beer options to take home and what I appreciated was a lot of the beer is locally sourced. I'm excited to come back and try some of the offerings with my friends and family as I've already told them about this place and they said "Whoa looks delicious!"

Price:
The prices here are a little bit higher than you would expect for a regular pizza place but this isn't a regular pizza place! I want to stress this because they use all high quality ingredients and that comes with some cost. As someone who has been to many different Pizza spots you get exactly what you pay for here. It is on par with others in its category. I definitely enjoyed this place more than previous places and I'm happy to pay a premium for premium Pizza!

As someone who has reviewed over 200 places which includes many fine dining establishments, I'm happy to report this one has been a staple in my 2026 visits! SupaFlyITGuy approved 5/5

I am super detail-oriented and I always check everything, which includes the restrooms. This is hugely important to me because if the restrooms aren't clean it's likely other areas are not as well, but they passed my check with flying colors. They also have funny Decor leading up to the restrooms and a funny picture inside the restroom. Overall, we loved our experience here and definitely enjoyed our food! It was worth the trip and I'm glad we came.

Foodventures - Fork & Kitchen Review -
Take a walk with me in your mind as you read this review:

My wife discovered this place on TikTok and we were looking for a new brunch spot to try. We made reservations for this place and we were surprised to learn during our visit from our nice server Venicia that they are in the soft-open phase of things; they've only been open since Valentine's Day week and this was their third week open.

Now I can get to the other parts of the review!

The location: This place is in Rockville Square near Trader Joe's. Parking here is tricky, you MIGHT want to arrive earlier than you think to get a good spot or chance it using Trader Joe's parking (ShhhπŸ˜†)

The Atmosphere:

The vibe here is chic/modern/artsy. It's giving museum meets warehouse with good lighting and open floor plan. I thought for a second I stepped into an upscale ghost kitchen. They are working on the aesthetics of the place. They have circular lighting and plants covering portions of the space. They also have a wall that has different sizes and shapes of vases with lighting on each one. This is where the museum Vibe comes in. They have marble styled tables. They are planning to add more things for the Grand Opening and I can almost assure you it will be a quite popular place once word gets around! Most people don't even know about this place yet :) this is your queue to go ASAP.

The Service:

Our server Venicia was very nice and helpful. She was prompt, friendly and what we appreciated most; honest! I had asked her opinion on a few items I was considering and she told me the truth. Thank you for that :)

The Food:

We started off with drinks. My wife got ginger ale and I got cranberry juice while we looked at the menu. We decided on their pancakes; they were crunch on the outside like that of cornbread and fluffy on the inside like a pancake but dense and came topped with what appeared to be a cinnamon butter and bourbon flavored syrup! (Yum) I decided on their creme brulee French toast which came on to nicely sized pieces of bread with Creme Brulee filling in the middle and fruit. It was also plated beautifully with cream drizzle.

My wife and I also got a few sides. She got some of the fluffiest eggs I've tasted in a long time with cheese and some well-seasoned potatoes. I opted for bacon and we shared the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was good but could use a bit of salt and pepper but that's an easy fix. That was the only thing that we felt could use some improvement but otherwise 4.5 outta 5 stars - SupaFlyITGuy approved!

You'll definitely have a great time here and should also come back for dinner which we hope to do in the future!

So I'll start off my review by saying it has always been a dream to visit this place, especially as a roller coaster enthusiast! I was actually gifted this trip as part of a present from my girlfriend but the trip had to be postponed a couple of times due to weather.

This past weekend we were finally able to make the Trek 6 Plus hours to the park. We came down on Friday and we had a hotel for the weekend. We spent Saturday at the park from open to close and really try to make everything worth our while. My girlfriend is not big on rides, so I asked my best friend to join me as a semi roller coaster rider. I was still excited to go to the park even though I had heard the news about Top Thrill Dragster being down for the rest of the year. This plus the new app being glitchy even after troubleshooting has caused me to deduct one star as I was really looking forward to riding all of the epic coasters.

We were supposed to receive rain but luckily it only sprinkled, so we were able to ride most things with the exception of Maverick, as it was down at one point for a good portion of the day. When it finally did become available it had a 75 minute wait, so we opted to ride steel vengeance one more time in lieu of Maverick.

The location is right on the edge of Lake Erie as you can look over and see the water and boats. This makes for a beautiful sunset when it happens cascading off the water.

This was also Labor Day weekend so the lines were decently long but not as long as we initially expected, this can factor in huge if you do not have a fast lane or fast lane plus pass. This park also utilizes Dynamic pricing for both its tickets and it's add-ons and at the time we couldn't justify paying $180 more per ticket but the option is available and it really does help cut down much of the wait time.

Some rides we waited 15 to 20 minutes when things first opened as we made our way to the back of the park per a suggestion by a Cedar Point Facebook group I'm a part of, this was spot-on and helped us be able to ride all of the popular coasters before it got packed later in the day. Using a bit of smarts when it came to mapping out how we were going to approach getting on all the rides coupled with the use of the app which was newly updated to check wait times helped us achieve this.

The app however was glitchy at times not refreshing at all and not allowing me to search for things like my Gold season pass. I ended up having to send a screenshot to my best friend's phone and then scanning the screenshot using the new app for it to populate. So my advice on that is make sure you have a screenshot available of your season pass in case you run into any technical issues with the app itself.

The park itself is not the biggest but they are going for quality over quantity as they have 18 of the world's best coasters in one Park and they know what they've got! My favorites were Millennium Force, valraven, and the best was saved for last with steel vengeance coming in at the top of my list. Maverick probably would have made it on this list as well but I didn't get a chance to try it and the wait time was too much without the fast pass.

This was a late anniversary/ birthday / Christmas present trip and I really enjoyed it with the best company. The staff was extremely helpful as soon as we entered I asked Tom if my plan of attack for getting on everything was a smart plan and he agreed. They also have some decent food options as we really enjoyed BackBeat barbecue. The park takes on a different vibe after the sun goes down and you really have to ride at least one coaster in the front seat, however they do have certain policies in place when it gets busy where they will manually assign you to a seat so you are not guaranteed a front row seat, however if you ask nicely they may be able to accommodate you but it's not guaranteed.

One of the things that really impressed me was the efficiency with the dispatch times, as different parts have different dispatch times but these guys were on top of things!

So I got the recommendation for this place from a Cedar Point pass holders Facebook group I'm a part of and this place came highly recommended. We are first-timers to both Ohio/ Cedar Point/ Sandusky so we figured we grab breakfast here.

The atmosphere is really great and welcoming, they have a really large mural on the side of the building that is great for pictures. Once you enter the restaurant you're greeted by the yellow bus counter which is also great for pictures and if you are from out of town they have a sign you can take a picture with and they will post to their social media story on Instagram.

We got a variety of different options from waffles and chicken to pancakes and Crepes as well as omelets and some of their signature coffee drinks like the Samoa. We enjoyed our visit so much the first time, we made sure to double down and go back before we headed back to Maryland.

This place can become extremely busy and there is often a wait time especially on weekends. The service however was really great from Bailee I believe her name was. She took our orders promptly and our food arrived hot and fresh. This isn't your typical breakfast restaurant as it feels more upscale than say an IHOP. It reminded me of our Pancake House back home with delicious food and wonderful service.

I enjoyed the plentiful menu options that were available as they have something for everyone. The one tip I will add is to bring a jacket or blanket as they keep the AC going pretty frequently. We really enjoyed our time here and this has now become a staple for when we visit Sandusky going forward! 5 outta 5 - SupaFlyITGuy approved!

Stopped by Bones for a fellas night with Dad. The location is nice with TVs for sports. We were immediately seated and our sever Brian was waiting all the tables and helping out at the bar but this didn't stop him from giving us great service! He was friendly, helpful and funny which we appreciated. Our food arrived hot and fresh by none other than, you guessed it, Brian! That's right this man in a man of many skills from waiting tables to hooking up my "Tropical like it's hot" drink. We ordered the cornbread appetizer with butter pecan honey butter and crispy pork belly lollipops. Both items were excellent and we really enjoyed the flavors. We then moved onto entrees and decided to get the "Bone fire" that came with different types of meats such as ribs, sausage, chicken, steak, wings, potatoes, and peppers and onions. I ended my night with roasted banana pudding to go which was also very good and made in house fresh. All in all an excellent visit as a great time was had by all. Service 10 outta 10, Food 9.5 outta 10, price value for money 8 outta 10

I decided to try this place because I had heard that it was very good and I'm always in the mood for very good.

The location itself is right on the corner which is very convenient and it looked very clean and well lit inside.

The staff I interacted with picking up my drink order was very friendly and told me where to pick up my food as I placed a to-go order for 9:50 a.m which included two drinks.

The drinks themselves were cold to the touch on arrival and we got there right at 9:50 a.m. so it begs the question, how long ago had these been made and been sitting to the side? If they were made fresh within the specified time they should have at least been warm.

These were definitely cold for both my chai tea and my girlfriend's hot chocolate. I understand when you do to go orders you may get food that is either very hot if you show up on time or sometimes a little lukewarm if you took your time getting to the location. This was definitely not the case as everything I picked up was undeniably cold. This should not be the case, especially when I paid $35 for this food.

It's hugely disappointing to say the least, it almost feels like you should just order as soon as you get there to ensure your food is fresh, otherwise you end up with food that is made too early to your specified time and you end up having to reheat and it takes away from the overall quality, original feel of the food.

Portion sizes leave something to be desired as my French toast for two pieces was literally about a $1.70 a bite, that's a tough sell even for so-called Gourmet French toast.

The oatmeal for a bowl was $8.50 and it was not that big of a bowl, again portion sizes definitely leave something to be desired and it had zero flavor I ended up having to doctor it up when I got home. Even the fruit with sprinkle of cinnamon could not justify this watery oatmeal.

The chai tea was decent but nothing to write home about, all in all there are better options out there and this place charges the premium just to say it is a posh Cafe. It's clear they put more into the branding then the actual food and experience.

This place was a swing and a miss for me and if I had the chance to do it all over again I would have just went somewhere else. This place is expensive and I feel overcharges for things that should be moderately priced due to the location and the willingness of its patrons to support. As someone who has sampled many great places that often exceed expectations this was as I said hugely disappointing not just for the price but the fact that the price did not justify for the quality that you receive.

I could have just made my own coffee at home and let it sit out and get cold if I wanted cold coffee or tea. The whole purpose of the visit was I wanted exceptional breakfast and I heard that this place was top-notch, however it seems the bar wasn't set very high for that notch.

Maybe with time things will improve, I don't know that I will return to give it another try for the amount they charge you. They also have no combos so everything is Γ  la carte. You're looking at $4.50 for two pieces of bacon so by the time you're done making your own combo you're at anywhere between 30 and $50. Is definitely a tough sell in a market that is saturated with good quality food and best bang for your buck.

Unfortunately a buck won't get you anything here so just know what you're getting yourself into and be prepared to pay a premium for a cool logo and mediocre food. There was also no butter included but it did come with whipped cream syrup and berry compote which I paid extra for.

Stopped into CPK yesterday for our date night dinner before seeing Alien: Romulus and tried the tostada pizza with thin crust and their new Strawberry Shortcake dessert. Sami, our server provided excellent service and the dessert was one of the best I've had with fresh strawberries and a soft biscuit cream in the middle with ice cream. Also had a sparkling mojito before finishing my entree. Always a great time when we come here.
