An incoming front may usher in scattered showers and storms to parts of the Midlands today. An isolated stronger storm with gusty winds cannot be ruled out.

06/01/2026

Good morning! Our unsettled weather pattern is here to stay for the start of June. Rain will be possible in two portions throughout the day. A shower or two is possible this morning, followed by a few showers and storms by this evening. The afternoon will be warm, with highs in the mid-80s.

With the showers and storms that pass through this evening, there’s a low chance of a strong storm. Parts of South Carolina are under a Level 1 of 5 ‘Marginal’ risk. As our next cold front drops in, a storm or two this evening will be capable of producing strong wind gusts and small hail.

06/01/2026

Cooler, drier air will settle in across the Midlands by the middle of the week. This will result in morning temperatures for a couple of days to dip to the 50s.

05/31/2026

Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are expected at times Monday. There will be the chance of some rain starting later tonight into Monday morning. Another batch of scattered downpours could form later on the day going into Monday night.

05/31/2026

Overnight lows will trend a bit cooler next week behind a cold front. Morning temperatures are forecast to be in the 50s for Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

05/30/2026

This evening will feature the potential of isolated showers and thunderstorms at times. Main impacts will be locally heavy downpours and rumbles of thunder. The chance of rain will generally taper off overnight.
