Historic winter storm possible!

1. ICE models are showing ice not potentially historic ice storm totals but numbers that can absolutely cause catastrophic impacts! If you live in or CLOSE to any of the areas shown in the pink ICE graphic prepare NOW not the day before!

2. SNOW areas immediately north of the ice storm have the chance to see 10+ inches of snow! Some areas shown 1-2 feet of snow! Get ready now!

3. KC right now I would expect the metro to see 3-5 inches of snow but areas south of the metro can see more! This storm is going to change between now and then but the storm is not going away. Track can change, amounts can change but the time to prepare is now! #

* At 800 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Olympian Village, or 7 miles south of Festus, moving northeast at 20 mph.

This Tornado-Warned storm continues to move to the NNE. The current trajectory of the rotation will be crossing Highway 50 around the Sedalia Airport and Maplewood road area.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
Eastern Kansas
Western Missouri

* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 140 PM until
900 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes likely
Widespread large hail and scattered very large hail events to 3
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will develop and intensify across the watch
area through the afternoon and early evening. Scattered severe
storms including a few supercells are expected, capable of very
large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 90 statute miles
east and west of a line from 35 miles north of Saint Joseph MO to 50
miles south southwest of Chanute KS. For a complete depiction of the
