Dominique Fils-Aimé" sounds like "domin-ik fis-lee".
Dominique Fils-Aimé is a singer and composer out of Montreal, Canada and I learned about the existence of this new album through a music blog called "I Came Home and Put the Record On" put out once a month by Richard Sanford at Richard Sanford | Substack. He seems to have an inexhaustible amount of time to put forth the effort to listen to so many genres of music and I always find something new and wonderful on each monthly post. As of early 2026, this is one of the best albums I've heard this year. A slow and jazz groove is the perfect backdrop to her vocals. She is touring the U.S. in the fall but the closest show I see to Columbia is in Chicago.
