Oldie but a goodie - made with lucky charms 😉
🦎🥣 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕞 ℂ𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕝 𝔽𝕝𝕚𝕡 🥣🦎

I was a Nickelodeon kid growing up - I love the classics form the 90’s - Rocco’s Modern Life, Doug, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, and of course Rugrats! Cartoons are great because when you see one you liked, they take you back and help remind you not to take things too seriously. No matter the outlandish situations the characters find themselves in, everything will work itself out in a half hour, 60 min tops.

Our feature show this week, Rugrats, premiered in 1991, ended in 2004, and ran for 9 seasons with 172 episodes. Created by Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo, and Pauly Germain, the show focused on a group of toddlers going on larger than life adventures (from their perspective any way) as they navigated daily life with wide eyed imagination and optimism.
Cheers 🤙!

Sometimes it’s the simple things that hit different. A good drink, a quiet moment, and nowhere to be.

This rum and bitters has been my go-to lately when I need to switch off and appreciate what’s in front of me. No fancy techniques or hard-to-find ingredients - just quality basics that never disappoint.

What’s your favorite way to unwind? Tag a friend who could use a reminder to take a breather and enjoy the moment. We all need it sometimes.

Old Money with a New Edge.

I came across post about The Old Money—a blend of mezcal, tequila, and spiced pear liqueur—and it got me thinking… What if we pushed the richness even further? I’ve got a sweet tooth so this seemed like a great opportunity to try and balance that with the smoke from the mezcal.

I swapped the tequila for cognac, letting that deep, velvety warmth play against mezcal’s smoke. The result? A cocktail that’s meant for you to take your time with it.

The Inherited Wealth
1.5 oz Mezcal 5 oz cognac5 oz Sherry 5 oz amaro Averna
1 tsp bark maple syrup - bonus pts if it’s barrel aged
2 dash walnut bitters
2 dash absinthe to rinse the glass

Stir, strain, serve on the rocks.

Express orange peel and garnish with cocktail cherry.

Are you team tequila or team cognac?

An Old Fashioned with a twist—The Ned Ryerson by Devon Tarby ( ) swaps out the usual sugar for gum syrup, bringing a rich, silky texture to the mix of rye and apple brandy.

Bitters with sassafras, anise, and orange pull everything together for a smooth, complex sip. Classic, but with a little extra character.
1.5 oz rye5 oz apple brandy
1 tsp gum syrup
1 dash sassafras bitters
1 dash absinthe
1 dash orange bitters

Garnish with lemon twist

“Let’s talk about an underrated classic: The Algonquin. This one’s easy, refreshing, and perfect for when you want to mix things up without a ton of effort.

Here’s the play-by-play (swipe for the steps):
🍍 1.5 oz rye whiskey
🍍 0.75 oz dry vermouth
🍍 0.75 oz fresh pineapple juice

Stir it all with ice, strain into a chilled glass, and boom—you’ve got yourself a cocktail with just the right balance of spice, sweetness, and a little tropical vibe. Recipe credit goes to the legendary PDT Cocktail Book.

Seriously, this one’s too good to keep to yourself. Send this to your friends and let them know you’re making this at the next hangout. Or better yet, send this post to that friend who always claims they can’t make good drinks at home—no excuses with this one.

Who’s trying this tonight? Let me know if you’re team rye or if you’ve got your own twist on it!”

Can it Old Fashioned? ABSOLUTELY.

Lately, I’ve been diving deep into the world of agave spirits after discovering some incredible tequilas over the holidays. This cocktail hit exactly the spot.

2025 is here so to kick off the new year I wanted to do a little introduction!

Welcome, I’m Noah. By day I am a high school political science teacher, and by night I take pictures of great drinks!

From 2009 - 2019 I spent most of my free time coaching football, till I hit the burnout wall. My wife and I went to Disney for Christmas that year and I made the decision to walk away from coaching to recharge.

It didn’t take long for me to start going stir crazy and I needed an outlet for that energy, enter cocktails. I’d always loved cooking and cocktails seemed like a natural extension of that hobby, and thanks to the pandemic, I had developed a taste for spirits.

I started out just using my phone and recreating drinks I saw on YouTube. I was working with a limited bar made up of local brands I could afford. After a few months of posting and tagging, and consuming every YouTube tutorial I could find, I made the investment in a beginners camera.

I was lucky enough to get connected to a group of amazing creators who helped me develop and were quick to answer any question I had. Truly I would have probably given up had it not been for their help and insights.

As my page started to grow, I started to get traction and made connections with those local brands I had been a fan of. This lead to some great early experiences. I ended up crafting the signature cocktails for my brother’s wedding, got to see behind the scenes at one of my favorite local distilleries, and started to expand my skill set both with the camera and the shaker tins.

Once I made the jump to off camera flash, the game changed and it opened up a ton of creative doors. My shots have become messy and incredibly fun to shoot.

I started dabbling in street photography and recently been leaning into the video production.

So that’s me. I’m glad you’re here. Hope you like what you see.
